Gaon might’ve touched the body but he didn’t touch the gun… so i don’t think he’ll be arrested. If anything this shows that he’s lost his sense of morality which makes me sad. He’s the only “hope” in the story but if he turns bad what does it mean for their world
also maybe it’s just me but i don’t see any couples forming at the end of this. it’s not realistic bc there’s no romance tag and jinyoung himself said that there’s no kiss scenes.
I know some people hate that “two powerful women are being pitted against each other” but the catfight between Sun-Ah and Kyung-Hee is just SO ENTERTAINING. i want them to fight more i love their characters sorry xx
Am I the only one who feels for Oh Jin Joo? Like, the girl is trying so hard to be useful to the team, but the…
this is why I think she’ll break and go towards sun ah. there was kinda a hint in episode 7 where she was replaying sun ah’s words in her mind i thought maybe it’s foreshadowing her wanting to take yohan’s spot? just a theory
JUST FINISHED THE LAST EPISODE AND IT WAS GOOD EXCEPT FOR GA ON'S CRYING/SCREAMING SCENE WELL THE CRYING WAS PERFECT…
it was intentional. he was genuinely losing his mind and his body didn’t know how to process it. he just found out the man who’s the reason of his parents death is most likely on a cruise in cuba. he’s going insane
my thoughts on gaon’s character bc if you think he’s “naive and dumb” for no reason past episode 7 then…
- he lost his parents at 16 due to a scammer. he grew up lonely and afraid to be alone bc of it (which is most likely why he’s still staying at yohan’s house. he shares this with elijah who’s probably the reason why yohan still allows gaon to stay) - when his parents died soohyun (a literal cop cmon guys 😭) and min jung ho (supreme court worker) were the only ones around him. you don’t think they were constantly sharing “believe in the system” propaganda to him for years? ofc he’s want things done by the law that’s all he knows. it’s the reason he wanted to be a judge in the first place. it’d be out of character if he blindly followed whatever yohan did. - yohan even realizes this and notices that gaon had to find solace and acceptance with his parents death by trusting the law. gaon’s bond with doing “what’s right” isn’t going to be broken so easily. that’s the only way he knew to survive - at the end of this episode finally breaks gaon. i think he’ll be more willing to break the law now. i loved the character development
first i want to say WOW to jinyoung’s acting. especially the ending scene of episode 7. gaon looked like he was losing his mind and everything he thought was real was a lie. yohan standing in the back just watching it happen made me giggle. his plan of making gaon see the light finally worked
I understand Yo Han's reasoning for having Ga On living with him and with his niece but what about Ga On ,, he…
many people think it’s bc gaon just wants to spy on yohan but truthfully I think he’s lonely. he’s said multiple times that he is similar to yohan in many ways and this is one of them. he gets along well with Elijah, the nanny and the cat. i think everyone enjoys each other’s company but are too afraid to say it rlly.
- we see more of gaon/yohan’s dynamic. they’re not fighting for once which is great…..right? gaon also isn’t…
yeahhhh yohan definitely cant be Jesus 😭. morally he’s kinda of a bad person based on a lot of his decisions (even if they’re justified). We have to ask ourselves “do the ends justify the means” to a lot of his actions.
also my favorite part about this show is the court cases bc it’s really catered towards the viewers to think. i find myself questioning how i would vote and for some reason im always more lenient towards the criminals 😭. it’s a lot of self reflection to do and i think that’s why i lean towards gaon character a lot more that yohan. im not vengeful so i prefer rehabilitation and isolation rather than punishment (for some cases not all ofc)
a lot of people see episode 5 as boring and useless but i think it really set the tone of the drama, here’s…
- we see more of gaon/yohan’s dynamic. they’re not fighting for once which is great…..right? gaon also isn’t snooping around anymore… that’s what we all wanted.. right? - gaon wears a lot of yellow again. the writer said it’s symbolism for light. we also know that the writer said gaon plays the role of Judas, a character in the Bible who betrays Jesus. we all thought it mean gaon would betray yohan but maybe it means gaon will betray his min jung ho. when they were talking gaon didn’t even give him more info about yohan… in fact he only told soohyun. - the most important part: we see how yohan’s trials are affecting korea. when those children when flogging each other, we see how these court cases are corrupting the youth. what’s especially important is that gaon sees this. he’s truly starting to realize the effect that these trials are having. - we get more insight on sunah , (who many branded as a girlboss solely bc she saved a few girls from SA…. just to do SA herself smh). she’s always been batshit crazy in my eyes ESPECIALLY if she’s the true mastermind behind the foundation. she’s a villain. - lastly this court case was pretty important bc it was more so catered to us the viewers which is why they took so long to deliver the verdict. i found myself conflicted whether I wanted the celebrity to be castrated or not. is punishment justice? should we treat evildoers how they’ve treated others? who decides?
I really love how 2nd FL takes care of Jin Young. She wants to enter the police academy so that she can let go…
it’s very pure and i love how he’s never mean to her even when he was a “bad boy”. i feel like kdramas always have assholes for ML’s especially in a one-sided love so it’s nice to see that change for once
