In the beginning, I gave this an 8 but IMO after ep 15 it got too draggy & boring. I was skipping a lot & finally dropped it after ep21. That wedding, dancing & fight scenes was hilarious though.

I had to go back & rewatch that scene. When she said your father was the Commander in Chief, I had originally thought she was referring to his birth father. Thanx for the clarification. As for his birth mother, I only recall his adoptive mother saying that his birth mother was her sister(I know that would make it incest but that was the norm back then) but she was just a maid?

I'm confused. ML's "mother" informed him that his real mom was her sister. Since the current Emperor has been trying to kill ML, I had assumed his real father was the previous Emperor. But in ep25, his "mother" stated the Commander in Chief Qi from the Xuanwu Army is his real father

I've only just started watching yesterday & binged up to ep16. I'm really enjoying it so far.... Why is it that every time a drama have FL dressing as a man, there's always a female falling in love w/ "him"? I thought Xiuer would realize it by now. When does she find out?
