Yesss! They both slayed their roles respectively. Forever thankful to the Kdrama gods for this perfect casting, I seriously can’t imagine anyone else playing Guwon and Dohee 🤍

I have a feeling they might break up or something 🥲🥲 there’s probably heavy angst coming after that “I love you” confession… but I hope I’m wrong <\3

Yeah, I don’t think it was mentioned anywhere that he doesn’t remember his past life as a demon with other identities. About the contract though, I saw people saying that the time does match because it was Dohee’s 11th birthday but in Korean age (so she was technically 10). This way it would make sense that Guwon made a deal with her father when she wasn’t born yet, but I don’t know…

Yeah he gave no reaction when Dohee showed him the picture which Madam Ju was also in, but how did Madam Ju know he’s the devil if she didn’t make a deal with him? And the way he was smiling when he saw her on the day of the accident… it’s all so confusing

I was thinking the same but then again, why did he give no reaction when Dohee showed him the picture? Madam Ju was also in it. Could it be that he didn’t remember anyone because it was a long time ago and he makes a lot of deals?

But one thing I can’t stop wondering about is why did Guwon smile when he saw Madam Ju… so many questions 😭😭

Exactly! I was crying almost the entire episode but the scene at the theater tugged at my heartstrings the most, I was full-on sobbing. His performance was incredible

No one can deny the fact that he’s really good with expressions. His acting feels natural and convincing and it’s easy to tell that he’s immersed in his character. He doesn’t deserve to be discredited and reduced to his good looks only, put some respect on his name

- When Guwon got stabbed at the end of episode 7. His performance was impeccable. The pain, fear and desperation- he expressed them all so well

- When the car crash happened at the end of episode 10. The sheer panic and fear on his face and the desperation in his eyes while saying he can’t live without Dohee, later followed by the look and smile of relief he gave her once he got the tattoo back. The same scenario when she was about to fall off the balcony in episode 5- anxiety followed by relief

- The sorrow, fury and agony in his eyes when Wolsim was killed. His outrage in that scene gave me goosebumps

- The distress and shock in his eyes when he woke up from his dream and realized that he was the reason behind Wolsim’s death

- His conversation with God in episode 12 where he got mad and slammed the table. The anger in his eyes- I got chills

- His conversation with Dohee at the theatre towards the end of episode 12. “It’s my fault, if I hadn’t loved her, she wouldn’t have died. That’s what frightens me, I might make you miserable.” I could literally feel my heart breaking as he said those lines. His delivery was so emotive- the regret, the guilt, the fear, the tears he tried to hold back but failed and his tone that was full of pain. It was probably the crying scene that impacted me the most in the drama so far

I don’t think I have it in me to read one more comment calling Song Kang’s acting bad anywhere on social media. His acting in episode 12 was brilliant, to say the least. I’m yet to see him in other dramas, so I will only be discussing his performance in My Demon. What captivated me the most about his acting is the way he can express a wide range of emotions with his eyes alone. His execution is always on point- fear, worry, pain, the unshed tears and the tears he couldn’t hold back as well, those scenes deeply moved me. I love how he delivers his dialogues, it never feels like he’s quoting a script, the emotions are always conveyed in his expression and voice tone. His portrayal of Jeong Guwon is nuanced and natural, especially how he went from being a demon who doesn’t feel human emotions to feeling them all gradually after meeting Dohee. He communicated the reality of both, Yisun and Guwon and the reactions and emotional responses that came with it so well in episode 12, and I applaud him for that.

He might’ve made a deal with them (or we could totally be wrong) but it looked like they were already dead by the time he arrived, so in that way he wasn’t responsible for their death. And the 10-year time frame isn’t how long humans he made a deal with stay in hell, but the time he gives them to live after granting their wishes before sending them to hell

Not my theory, but I saw some people on Twitter saying that Guwon made a deal with Dohee’s father when Dohee’s mom was still pregnant with her to save Dohee (there might’ve been a risk to Dohee’s life) and the reason Guwon didn’t recognize her parents in the picture she showed him is because he was living as Jeong Palwon during that time (1998-2019)

And when I thought Guwon and Dohee’s love couldn’t get any more beautiful, they pulled the “I would love you in every lifetime” card 😭😭❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 I will forever cry over this

They got a tragic ending in one lifetime, they deserve a happy ending in the current one 😭❤️‍🩹

Wait omg this makes so much sense! Especially that Madam Ju referred to Guwon as “The Devil”, this hints at her making a deal with him, otherwise it’s not possible to know his identity
