I look like a panda and need some zzzz’s real bad….. I just marathoned this drama in, would you believe, four days…Gods truth…, and I can’t even say why. (secret: I watched many episodes at 1.5 or 2.0 speed) This drama kinda reminded me a little bit about Gourmet, a little bit about Jang bori is here and a little bit about baker king kim tak goo. This was 122 episodes of scheming people taking away rights and property from good people because of greed, and always getting away from it. The inflexible grandfather who places tradition over common sense, who values clan rules over family; the greedy chairman who values money over his children's happiness and the total chaos these elements bring makes this drama very makjang. The two male leads were great- I loved them both, and the female lead was good. Don’t be misled however, there would be many wtf and where do these people get off moments that would have you wanting to pull your hair out. And that Ra Hui.... one word – psychotic. Good ending but I was torn between the two lovers for the female lead. Oh, by the way, if you’re not able to quickly pull sense out of google inspired subs and you don’t understand Korean…you may have a hard time trying to understand what is being said in many episodes. but Dont Give Up! its a good drama.

here we go again..... from 63 to 65.... i guess we have to hang on for the ride....
I guess the sponsors doesn't realize yet that too much of a good thing is good for nothing. I've been dragging along since around episode 48....oh gosh wrap this dam thing up nah man, it's already not that interesting any more!!

I'm in the middle of the first episode, and i came to mdl to re read the description, tags and comments to see if i'm just impatient....... maybe i am......, but when i see tragedy but not romance in the tags, I don't know if i want to continue... i'm a romance freak you see.... no matter what other genre is the main theme i want a good love story tastefully woven in

You took those words right out of my mouth... I mean, it was starting to get a bit draggy at times so now with 63 episodes the possibly exist that i might drop this altogether! After having invested 47 hours in a show.... that would be a waste, wouldn't it??

I've seen them all, and all the different versions of them too,..... some of them i've even rewatched....they're all great to me. I've got a weakness for gender benders. Don't forget scholar who walks the night, and more recently love in the moonlight. Then there's the recent taiwanese bromance.....ok, i'll stop now :)

check him out in whirlwind girl 2. Its chinese and he's dubbed, but he is real eye candy here, and the show was good until the writers kinda left us hanging in the end.... but don't worry, still give it a whirl.. pun intended lol

IYou should still give it a try, although the last few eps was kinda spinning top in mud, it's still a good watch.

This drama is fully subbed on viki now. When you say it is not a happy drama, does this mean a lot of angst and a sad ending where the leads part ways one way or another? Is there romance? I really do not like to watch shows that doesn't have romance, and i don't feel good when its not a happy ending, so please tell me if it is worth the watch

Isn't this a typical case of too much of one thing is good for nothing? This show was great and I was looking forward to it ending at 28, but when I saw how they were dragging it out without a resolution in sight, I realized it was going to be extended. I was ok with that because i thought the next four eps would end with a bang. Now, its going to be more dragging and frustrating with four more episodes after ep 32. The writers doesn't seem to realize that after saturation point is reached, satisfaction levels go down. In this case. I think the ratings are going to suffer, but yang yang coming back could make things interesting after Bai Cao realizes that she is in love with Chang An. But lord, lets hope episode 36 is the last. Footnote: Yang Yang is the male lead in Love 020, and lord he is such a great kisser. The show is good too.. check it out

i feel the same way, so i avoid sad ending dramas as much as possible. That's why uncontrollably fond is killing me right now

Just read her profile - she was blackmailed by her x manager for nude pics in 2013. Does anyone know the outcome of that and did that scum go to jail?

this is an amazing show, i love it. Cutting down the episodes may not be a bad thing if the scripts become boring and draggy just to fill up the episodes. As long as this ends on a high positive then my 9.5 rating would not be in vain

is there any romance? No matter what the genre or how good a show is, if there is no romantic development, i always feel disappointed

Here we go again thinking actors are sub-human - they don't get tired; the don't have bad days; they must have 100% perivision; and God forbid... they just cannot ignore a fan, even if they didn't see them! Haters be gone .. let us enjoy this good looking man in what promises to be a great show, in peace.

with twenty episodes once per week, the wait between eps is going to be excruciating. He is really gorgeous!
