The organization, or whatever they call themselves, makes a lot of foolish decisions. I can't take it seriously. I know that humans make mistakes, but if you want to bring independence to your country, you should at least use your brain
The story between Ryan and his mom was poorly written and nonsensical. Deok Mi's late brother Deok Soo was completely useless to the story. I feel like they added that part to make us drop tears or to "justify" Deok Mi's mom ridiculous actions. They didn't need to make the leads long lost childhood friends. It was completely useless to their relationship. The writers wanted to create some conflict, but it didn't really work. The amnesia part was also a try-hard way to fix plot holes.

maybe back then things were different? guys could marry any girl, they just needed the parents' consent, even if the girl didn't want it. so if he liked the girl, her looks, etc, he could have thought "damn that's the girl I have to marry" lol
