They spread up black rumours that he's gay while another party spread that he's dating Dai Luwa with the motive to reduce the chemistry of XJ pairing. The fandom in weibo is scary and quite bad for a new actor with minimal fans like DW since they cannot retaliate.

It's a sad and memorable ending for XL.
XL will sacrifice for his cause and he helped XY and TSJ got together.
XY never know XL's feelings for her.
XL let XY go and sacrifice his feeling because he know he can't stay till the end with XY, so he can rest in peace after making sure XY never get lonely again by getting her and TSJ together.
