Let's say I did misunderstand, which I have high doubts about. Saying non-bls getting these huge budgets instead of BL/GLs is just wrong. It's the storyline that dictates the production requirements. And with your examples in the above and other comments, you already confirmed it without even knowing.
BL/GLs are mostly romcoms, adapted from romance novels. If you want high quality shows, then I suggest you pick it up with GMM so they start writing their own original scripts with deeper storyline.
Also, please take into consideration that not all actors in GMM are on the same level. Sorry to say it but some are way better than others and you can have all the budget in the world but with average at best acting, it will still look somehow cheap. Same goes the other way. You can have actors who literally carry the whole show, which doesn't require massive budgets and no, I will not give examples as it will create a mess here.
Last but not least, It's not always about the popularity of the actors. Pumping numbers across platforms doesn't make up for their acting, but most fans just turn a blind eye and follow whatever they're in. And for me, that's a bigger issue than budgeting.
I can go on and on but I'm not sure if you want this conversation, I know I don't and especially not on this page, because it brings more and more hate.
I just can't understand why does it matter if this is BL or not? I see great actors, chemistry and high quality…
The never ending saga with SN. The boys just cannot catch a break. If the trailer was crappy, the comments would have been: Oh, they deserve it, etc...same shit.

I don't know how to say it without being rude but Sky and Nani have separate merch, which makes fans pay double for everything. They have the same fanmeetings, fancons, not even counting their brand deals. Your math doesn't add up. You should look for a different reason as this isn't it.
GMM invests in their most popular pairs/duos/couples, call it however you want. Wait till you see the production…
"meanwhile the actors in this one barely just became popular a year ago" You might want to check their lists of films and series first. They're nowhere the newbies you're trying to portrait them.
Sky might be new to GMM but he has a 12 years career and you'll be surprised how popular he's always been in Thailand.
I never liked comparing series here, especially when they're from different genres but you can't have a fantasy with crappy CGI, effects, etc, it will be bound to fail. Also, you can check the team behind this series. They're some of the best out there, especially the production.
People are just pressed because it's not a BL, that's all.
Finally, Sky and Nani are back! Is it just me, or did they completely change the story from the pilot trailer?…
The pilot was super rushed, filmed within a week to cater the demand after the success of HSF. GMM didn't even know what they were doing back then. 😁 But yes, the trailer is next level for all our pleasure! The team behind the series is top notch, didn't expect anything less.
the trailer for this was nice. definitely wish it was a bl. I‘ve been saying how weird it is for gmmtv to always…
GMM invests in their most popular pairs/duos/couples, call it however you want. Wait till you see the production quality for Ticket to Heaven and I'm sure you already saw Me and Thee, oh it also got a sequence, guess why.
It's not about budgeting, it's about sponsors and the handful of brands these actors hold in their pockets. With thus said, I think this topic should be closed here. Ah and it also helps to have great actors, too!

Btw, wait until you see the budget for High &Low.
