As much as we joke here all the time, I actually appreciate that this series not only brakes stereotypes but also brought to light topics like kinks, BDSM, prostitution, just to name a few, which was literally unheard of. That's why I always say, whenever someone asks if they should watch it, that if they keep an open mind, they might actually enjoy it (and learn something in the process).
As much as Thai BLs are trying to ignore the fact that hosts bars and prostitution exists, series like Playboyy and now Time are giving us a sneak peak into this massive sex industry, with Playboyy doing it straight into your face. Fun fact, the host bar in Time is actually a real one and it exists in Bangkok.
On the down side, some people try to ignore that well known fact and just prefer to bash on the series, whether it's because of their lack of experience, age or pure ignorance. Whatever the case, Playboyy will remain in Thai BL history because of these topics and there's nothing people can do about it.
