That's the beauty of the series. It portrays real life pretty accurately. We all have or had such shitty friends at some point. That's why, as you mentioned, it resonated with a lot of us, me included. I dare anyone who never had such friends to step forward.

They way they tried to turn this series into a regular BL really made me laugh even harder. Like, guys, we're here for the unhinged and nasty sexy scenes, not for the hair brushing and wiping tears. 😁 I'm so glad that production failed miserably and we still get what we signed up for.
