The only thing I like about Namjin is that he is still somewhat tolerating Seonju and daughter Jihyun at least for now, while with the mistress SangA she is straight up cold and distant to her husband Sowoo and son Taeri, but anyways, I hope the leads find out about their spouses cheating soon.
I normally don’t have complaints about endings of daily dramas, however, this is literally a rushed ending.
I think a few things should’ve been adjusted or even addressed since the beginning like:
- Due to Eui Ju’s amnesia and also a “Yong” on the last episode, he and Su Jeong should’ve just remained friends or have like an adopted older sister X younger brother type of relationship rather than a romantic relationship (age gap isn’t the problem, but Su Jeong literally witnessed Eui Ju being born from his mother! 😓). Or maybe give Eui Ju another girl with a similar personality as him 🤷🏻♀️. I would’ve been okay with the romance between Su Jeong and Eui Ju if she didn’t witnessed Eui Ju’s mother giving birth to him (since that’s like witnessing a sibling’s birth tbh) or that they first met once they’re older or something.
- There was literally a potential for the “give me a second chance” type of romance between Su Jeong and Woo Jin as well, like on the 1st episode, I had always thought that Woo Jin was the “male lead” since his backstory was literally shown and seems interesting more than Eui Ju’s (I love the actor and he did a great job--just not his character at certain times in the drama) but turns out that by the 2nd half of the show, Woo Jin is the “2nd male lead” not the “male lead”. Plus Woo Jin's daughter Ha Min literally loves Su Jeong to be her "stepmother" (at least when Woo Jin and Su Jeong still dated). So that's another thing the writers could've developed more too like once Woo Jin had improved and change himself for the better, like giving him and Su Jeong a second chance (since he didn't end up with Choi Hye Ra at the end anyways since she's in prison).
- So in today's last episode, Hye Ra confessed to Su Jeong that she k-worded her mother when they were younger. This should've been addressed earlier which can be added towards Hye Ra's prison time, but of course there needs to be an actual evidence.
- What even happened to Kelly Jung in the last episode? Did she go abroad or what is she doing after telling Woo Jin that she better not hear him getting drunk again?
- How did Hye Ra's mom not have any amnesia after being hit in the head by Hye Ra's father? (She protected Hye Ra and got hit in her place).
And lastly, the ending if not with my suggestions, then there should've been at least a whole family reunion not just with only Su Jeong and Eui Ju at the beach filming their own melodrama--lol. Like what about his mother, grandmother, brother Woo Jin, niece Ha Min, and his detective friend Mr. Kook? They miss him as well.
I don’t know how I feel about EJ and SJ being a couple, the age difference isn’t the problem at all since they’re both adults in the drama, but it’s just weird that SJ literally witnessed EJ’s mom giving birth to EJ and now as adults they’re dating. I also get that EJ is the ML but at the same time, I think it would’ve been better for him and SJ to remain like siblings or at least friends. WJ has also changed for the better as of the recent episodes, I think WJ has a potential to have a second chance with SJ (due to the recent character development of him, but SJ was already hurt by him due to him pushing her father in the earlier episodes). I think WJ’s character has a potential to be ML too, like sure he started off like a red flag, but his character and backstory seems more interesting than EJ’s character. But either way, I think SJ is just better off alone tbh because at the beginning she dated WJ, broke up then currently dating EJ—she dated older brother and now the younger brother (WJ is EJ’s older brother). I just wonder if it ever feels awkward between the three of them at times tbh.

Honestly, I agree with your opinion. I thought WJ is a red flag for how he acted when SJ rejected his marriage proposal (the part before she punched him in today’s episode 48). But after reading your take on SJ, I can now see why she’s a traitor and manipulator based on the previous episodes when she and WJ started dating. The part where she begged EJ and his(and WJ) mom to not leave the guesthouse, I thought maybe she might just missed their presence if they leave, but I guess I was wrong because like you said, she started to be around EJ who’s like a “younger brother to her” (as SJ always says) more than her actual boyfriend WJ who actively just wants to love, care for her, and expects her love and care as well, but she somewhat only shows that to EJ and not WJ. Like you said, I don’t like how she doesn’t even tries to communicate properly with WJ when there’s a problem/situation or something she’s uncomfortable with like sure she can ask EJ’s opinions on some things, but she has to communicate with WJ as well to work things out in their relationship. Maybe WJ will understand her feelings more if she could just take the time to communicate to him about how she really feels about him and stuff and not just accept to date him, just because she initially had a crush on him and then how she was going to develop “feelings” for EJ later on. It’s also like SJ is more cold/dry towards WJ than to EJ.
This was interesting on the first episode, but then it just became downhill after YJC got 😵off. Like wasn’t he supposed to be the ML? Or was it the lawyer guy? Then out of nowhere another guy came in (FL’s ex-boyfriend).
