i just started this and this is how i see it, i dont think its about who supports whom, now why did she choose him? obviously its not bcz he is successful and she doesnt seem to worry about it cuz she is already successful in her career, i think its bcz Birds of a feather flock together, both are awkward around people. introverts. they both dont have social skills and tend to avoid social interactions. people like these find outgoing personalities like guy with golden hair too much to handle, they tend to find people like em more comfortable (like how nerds group together). so its her instincts that recognized him. probably she understands and relates to him more than other people. with her 5th grader level and all. i dont think she sees him stupid. and she is not an alpha woman, she is just awkward and hides behind that alpha girl personality.
