it's true, the first 6 episodes were quite mediocre. that's why i understand where you're coming from. Those who have not followed the novel nor the animation may find it really confusing. not a single thing i understand how clans work in ancient china before i entered mdzs fandom but after digging into the story little by little, it's cool how i get to learn about it. hmm back to the drama, as far as i can honestly tell you, the episode that would make all sense starts from episode 10 also the acting of most actors started to sharpen at this part. Good to know you're almost there, since you're at ep 6 now, its just my suggestion but if you have time i wish you can continue watching up to ep 10 then comeback and reassess your thoughts and see if the drama still doesn't really sit well with you. (btw, I'm a huge fan of untamed and mo dao zu shi fandom since 2017) I just want to thank you for stating your true opinions. i try not to be biased and view the drama neutrally, that way i can understand new audiences' feelings towards the drama.

i really felt sorry for meng zi yi. :( she got attacked for no valid reason just because they saw some footage of xiaozhan holding onto her (xuanwu cave), fans already jumped into conclusions. I used to wonder why wenqing was called during mian mian's iron branding scene but it turned out the scene was actually cut.

also some fans finds her character (butting in everytime) unnecessary.
well, it's just my opinion but i think this drama version of wenqing actually blended well in the story. poor actress got backlashed when she's just doing her job.

Although i must say thanks to this issue the prod team strengthened wangxian scenes lol they learned the hard way to never underestimate fan's power.

yeah thank you i finally got it. ive always thought this stygian tiger seal was actually shards of the yin iron
but it turned out the seal was actually that sword from xuanwu cave. if im not mistaken this sword posseses power that can manipulate the yin iron. so technically stygian tiger seal is more powerful tool than that off yin iron. ?? am i right?? sigh i think i just made myself more confused lol

jin guangyao is evil. he is a big fat liar to lxc, he committed murderS, adultery,incest and tortured his dad up until his death. idont wana mention how coz its disgusting. the thing that drove him to his evil self was bc he was bullied when he's young because he's a son of a prostitute and jin guangshan never acknowledge him as his son. he was kept under jgs radar bc he got good mouth for stuffs. hes just a minion to jgs tbh. thats why u can see jgs in the drama still doesnt entirely like jgy. Also he really is an ambitious cunt thats why he's also set to murder somebody soon and this is where the present time story would be about. (i made it short bc the story about him is too long. i also try to not spoil u too much. i think its more interesting to know his character during the course of the drama without giving much spoilers. btw jgy is the main antagonist of this story)

for nie huisang he is the mastermind because he will expose the real jgy. He plays his game well and manipulated the present that lead to wwx resurrection. he'll play like a "know-nothing-kind-of-guy" in the future but thats just him pretending in order to keep himself in low profile and hides his true intentions.

for wen qing i dont remember much but i think they didnt die they were still protected by wwx??

if im not mistaken all chinese dramas are dubbed. Xiao zhan voice actor is the same as the audio drama meanwhile yibo's voice actor is the same as the anime.

let me go back to episode one. when moxuanyu summoned wwx, theres a rugged person standing in front of mxy what does that scene depict?? was that mxy presence asking wwx to get his revenge? im just confused on that part. And by the way i think the mastermind guy was hinting from the start?? they showed his silhouette while holding a fan, he walked with dark clothes and holds a fan, he even paid gold to an old man just to story tell
wwx life to the lan sect juniors and eventually lead them to mo xuanyu manor (if the drama is being loyal to the novel that person is nie huisang.) i wonder if novel readers noticed that little details??!!??

ive read somewhere that the actress for jiang yanli and wanglingjiao (jiaojiao wen chao gf) read the original novel content and they were loving it. also lan xichen's actor read it and posted on weibo but he expressed that he read the novel during the summer so "it's hot". lol if you know what i mean. however for the main characters xz and yb im not so sure. there's a rumor they weren't able to finish reading bc it's too much?? yeah yibo is actually a pro racer. that's why you can find yibo talking about his motorbike in most of his interviews. he was once asked if xiao zhan wants to learn about motorcycling, he'd gladly share his knowledge about it. yibo loves any kind of adventurous stuffs. you'll really find him interesting and talented ????
