"Kaneko Kaneko...always Kaneko" - well duuh- Hiro is literally Kaneko in real life after allšŸ˜‰šŸ¤£
i’ve always found that funny. he be yelling ā€œkaneko!ā€ in the drama all the time and he’s kaneko in real life 😭

on kisskh they show that there will be 7th ep next week but idk tho i hope so
i think it is only up until ep 6. they’ve been following the source material (manga) to a T and this is all that’s there (except for the last two bonus panels).

i think japanese dramas usually film intro/outro separate from the show itself, so everything in it never gets shown. they also already released making videos and held a live stream to sort of celebrate the release of the last episode.

I suffer from the same problem - maybe not that severe. I also had to find something that helps. To me its hearing…
i have the same problem, though it probably didn't start as early as yours did. it must be really hard.

i feel the same. i think sleep is a waste of time. just today, i finished my shift at 7 and slept at around 7:30. woke up at 9 and have not gone back to sleep. sleep is nice, but i also think it takes away the time i could have used to enjoy the things work doesn't let me enjoy. if i work and sleep after, i will just wake up to another day of work. where's the part where i get to live?

weekends exist but i don't want to waste those two days sleeping either lol i do sleep longer on weekends, like four hours, and spend the rest of it either watching stuff or solving puzzles.

sleep isn't life for some of us.

Yes, he acknowledged himself as gay in "Tokyo in April." But there are more BL's where guys acknowledged themselves…
Oh wow. I feel like whenever I come on MDL, I close the site with a new piece of information lol I watched the Cherry Magic movie not knowing anything about the actor refusing to kiss. I do remember people hating on it when it was first released in theaters when they found out that there were no scenes like that even though they had a whole ass wedding and it was heavily implied that they had sex. That's just tragic. I, for one, could not care less about kissing scenes, but if the lack of it is because the actor hated the idea of it, that's another story altogether.

The film talked about certain things that I felt like needed to be talked about and I loved parts of it. But it was lacking in so many ways too, so those who didn't watch weren't missing much. And now knowing this info, guess it really isn't worth all the praise sung about it.

the relatively unpopular (but one i always defend and recommend) 'if it's with you' [kimi to nara koi wo shite mite mo] has a main character that acknowledges himself as gay too. he basically tells the other male lead "i like men" from the very start. if y'all haven't seen it, i hope you give it a watch. it's just 5 eps!

they’re 6 years apart in age. at present, hiro is 27 and kai is 21. the scenes set in the past happened 12 years ago? i’m not quite sure, but i’m sure that was more than a decade ago. so they were probably 17 and 11.

u already watched it. so u don't have to watch it again..AND .. OMG IM CRYING.. ... I ME MYSELF TOTALLY AGREE…
they made the stupid decision of having a baby to save a relationship which is bizarre but makes sense for three kids who didn’t know much about being an adult. they thought it was the best solution to getting eiji’s father to shut up because as he said, a normal guy would grow to have a wife and a child and he wanted eiji to be ā€œnormal.ā€

the falling out was a result of a lot of things, not just mieko’s suggestion. eiji was at fault too. makki chose to run away.

personally, i wouldn’t want makki to end up together with eiji. he loved him, but eiji was not the person makki needed in his life. he honestly deserved better. that’s just me though
BLexplorer Dec 11, 2023
it was confusing, i agree. though i think mieko didn’t love any of them in a romantic way. she was aroace, if i’m not mistaken. she deeply cared for the both of them, but maybe she cared a little more about makki than eiji, which makes sense because it was just them two at first and they’ve gone through things before eiji joined the picture.

the confusion is with how eiji just started having feelings for mieko when he said himself that he was gay but then at the end of the drama, he was shown crying while smelling makki’s clothes, seemingly missing him and yearning for him. it could be that he did not really like mieko ā€˜that’ way and said that just so they both could pretend their family was like everybody else’s, or he was actually bisexual but realized it too late.

i don’t get the 8 weeks, 13 weeks thing either. i thought they had sex once and on the same night šŸ’€

Its because they adapt just the first 10 chapters of the manga... the manga is still on going (chapter 24 just…
are they sold per volume? how many volumes are out so far?

I can’t speak for everyone, of course. I think they didn’t kiss exactly because they used a camera angle.…
oh no i wasn’t talking about you. i was scrolling through the tag on twitter and saw negative reactions whatever bc they didnt kiss apparently. anyway, this was a good show overall. finally, gays that can communicate. i’d take this any day over any show where the only good thing is the intimate scenes.

there is a debate on twitter lmao i’ve seen a few people get mad about it even. but tbh same, i was not expecting a kiss at all and was genuinely surprised. but i guess the hate is also rooted from the fact that the shows that aired around the same time were heavy on that stuff, so comparison was everywhere. honestly though this show earned more points from me than all of the other shows combined.

the first one was a bit unclear yeah, but in the second one, their lips touched though. you can actually see it, albeit only for a split second. that or he kissed him on the chin or something lol i do hate it when male actors play gay characters but don't like kissing men. for this show, though, what i hate more is how its beauty is getting ruined by the discussion on whether the kisses were real.
