Tbvh, i dropped this drama twice or thrice in the past 6 months. But then i tried watching it again and relied on the rating and comments saying it's good.. and IT IS A REALLY GREAT DRAMA. Finished this today tho i must admit i skipped a LOT of scenes (and just read recaps) but then it started getting interesting since ep 30+ and it got even better after they got married (ep 40). So if you're reading this, it's a sign to watch this gem.

Been wondering if i should start this drama or not since i havent watched any bl drama yet tho i'm familiar already with wuxia/xianxia dramas. I know the drama is good based from the rating and comments. But is this happy ending? Is the ending good? I wanna know coz everytime i watch wuxia/xianxia dramas i always check if the ending is happy, good or not 😅

I had the same thought before i started ALP. When i saw the poster and FL's profile photo here on MDL, I thought she's not that attractive to be the partner of xu kai here. But after watching first eps, i was drawn to her and realized the photos dont give her justice. I think she's beautiful most especially when she's smiling. You will be more captivated in her brilliant acting and character as you go through this drama.

When will the FL know that the ML has nothing to do with the incident that happened?

There have been some confusions in the ending of the legends thats why i was a bit hesitant but they said that it's still worth watching so i'll watch it today haha then maybe arsenal next. I'll do a xu kai marathon before my classes start 😅😅

Xu Kai is the chinese actor i anticipated the most bc i've been hearing lots of good stuff before i even watched him act. His first drama i watched was FIYS and second, this ALP. FIYS gave us a refreshing and cool ML while ALP offered a heavier, serious yet adorable (w Qing mu) and brave character. Through ALP, I got to appreciate his acting skills more and i must say that he is now one of my most fave chinese actors 😭

Idk what to watch after having finished this. I'm thinking of watching his drama The Legends since it's also a xianxia and I also watched the FL before. I want to see more of xu kai 🥺 Is it worth watching?

I just finished this gem. The last time i felt this empty after finishing a drama was when i finished LAR. Now, ALP is the xianxia drama that made me cry the most 😭 it was so pure and painful but beautiful at the same time. I will never forget Shang gu-Bai jue and Houchi-Qingmu's love for each other 💗 i just wish we got more family scenes with their son 🥺🥺

been bawling my eyes out since ep 33+, if only tears can be exchanged with money, i'd be a billionaire by now hahahaksks

I'm on ep 41 now and yes feng ran is still loyal and good. Same with gu jun.

Why does this drama hurt so bad??? 😭 After bai jue's talk with gu jun, i've come to understand his pain and dilemma. Prob some or even most of the viewers were so focused on houchi's pain that we forget that bai jue's hurting too 💔 he doesnt want this to happen but for him there's no other choice but to continue his plan because shang gu's life matters more than what she thinks about him. He's willing to be the bad guy who'd get criticized just to protect her :((

I would've hated bai jue 2.0 if it werent for the spoilers that i saw ksksks ik this is all part of his plan to protect shang gu/houchi but i still get irritated whenever he's cold to her :(( nevertheless i admire bai jue for being strong and selfless again
