hi! idk if i’m late to reply but imo, you dont have to watch the prequel to understand this one. there were scenes in the prequel that was added here as a “flashback” to their past life but you still can understand this without watching the prequel though it would mean much more if you watched that ^^

Wow.. i finished this drama and i don’t know what to say. Not a flawless drama (nothing is) but this drama has its own flavor and character. The cinematography, costumes (Awu’s are chef’s kiss), choreography of battle scenes, acting and cast especially our couple are brilliant. It’s my first time watching these two actors and wow i really fell for ZYW 😭 his aura and manly demeanor is outstanding. There are characters that fell short and boring parts but i really love how most of them stayed true to their character. I would say this is not a romance-centric drama but you would really cherish and melt from the couple’s scenes. This is an overall high production drama and it is still worth the watch.
