So we finally got an explanation for Hia Lians actions in the first episodes aaaand.. it makes no sense. There really was no reason to be so cruel to Kuea and Hia has nothing to say except that he’s sorry, no explanation. Inconsistent writing at its finest, the writers wanted the dramatic moment of Hia’s cruelty in the first episode, but they also wanted the ‘I always loved you’ narrative for Hia. Sorry but it doesn’t work like that. They should’ve committed to the idea that Hia isn’t in love with Kuea. They hadn’t seen each other in a long time because Kuea was studying abroad, so they don’t really know each other that well anymore. They could’ve shown us Hia falling in love with Kuea as he gets to know him and come to regret his past actions. But the way they did it here, there’s no development, he loved him then and he loves him now. The only thing that’s changed is his behavior, which didn‘t make sense in the first place. The steamy scenes would be so much nicer if the emotional connection between the two was properly conveyed. Well, at least the actors gave it their all.
I dont understand this show at all. This episode Hia Lian said "you want to call off the engagement because I dont pay attention to you right?" and kuea affirms that but like ??!? he wanted to call off the engagement because hia lian literally told him to his face, in the cruelest way possible that he doesnt love him!!! wtf!! why is hia lian acting like he needs to win over kuea now, searching things like "how win over a guy on a date" but like YOU ALREADY HAD HIS HEART AND YOU THREW IT AWAY for apparently NO REASON AT ALL. i dont get it, what am i missing here??!
i hate all the characters except mijo & joohee, ESPECIALLY kim seon woo omg i know everyone here is mostly bothered by the affair storyline (&i hate that too) but OMG that guy pisses me off in every way possible

feels like an entirely diffrent show to the first season :( the tone here is honestly jarring and i miss everything about the first season.(i miss yoohan, i miss the OST, i miss the atmosphere) i knew this season was gonna be different so i didnt expect much, but why am i still so disappointed? TT
