the beauty of ye xian was that even when he got rejected he never acted like a loser. yes, he was annoying sometimes but he never cried over being rejected by the female lead or acted pathetic. changing such a key part of his character… honestly, i read some comments criticizing the writer and i thought they were overreacting, but she really deserves more hate for her poor vision. such wasted potential.

i finished the novel and i just wanna say i have no hope for this drama. the story is meh and the writing is really poor. there’s nothing special about the book. there are two interesting characters but according to the leaked script they already ruined ye xian’s character just because male lead fans felt insecure. it was such a waste of time. i can’t believe it’s the same novel from ron’s writer.
