The way you explained it makes me feel unsure again lol. It's ok if it's about the main leads' chemistry, but the story have to go somewhere at least. I mean It doesn't have to be such a complex plot or anything like that, but I would also like to see a story that moves. SCOY's story literally goes no where and all I can remember is just the slow mo scenes and the main leads looking at each other all the time. I don't even remember what was the plot about for SCOY after a few episodes lol. I decided to give this show a few more episodes, but I'll drop it if its just like SCOY lol.

Yea. You're right too. I mean sometimes the comments are wrong too. For some odd reasons, there's lots of negative comments for this one on MDL while the views are so high. It's very conflicting at the moment. But I guess I'll give a few more episodes a try and if I don't like it, I'll just drop it lol

Totally agree. Although I have not finish the Effect, I decided it's best not to get myself into because it deals with real issues and I can't handle that after reading people's comments. I need to be in a good mind before finishing it lol.

TMOTB was only an exception for me because it's a fantasy genre, so you don't feel that hurt, depressed, and messed up. Although Taofu isn't really gone, we as the audiences can't believe he back to his teddy bear form. The straight up honest truth is that it's still a disappointing ending. I'm just tired seeing sad endings for BL shows like most western BL/LGBT films and series have always been. And I felt partically cheated by the crews and casts. It was not the happy ending we all wanted lol.

This show have a rating of 8.1 on here and the views are so high on youtube, BUT the comments are saying otherwise. I mean I watched the 1st episode and I thought it was OK. I've been trying to give myself time and continue this show. I think this time I'll go with my gut feelings about the comments and not watch this show lol. Man... I'm scared that it'll just be like the other Thai BL show "Secret Crush On You" airing right now too. I had to drop SCOY because there was literally no story either and the drama just felt so slow at times for almost every scene they take. The show however, had so many views on youtube. The characters in that show were hard to like too. Likewise, I have a gut feeling it's going to be the same for this series. I'm not trusting the youtube views again, but I'll trust the comments of this section from now on lol.

Based on the thai forum posts/comments I read online (I used google translate)... I would say people have mixed reactions about the ending too. For those who didn't read the novel, I would say they got the reaction like most people in this comment section.

There were fans who were disappointed in the ending as well saying things like Taofu shouldn't have died because he was a good person. Some said that Taofu deserves better too.

Some understood the ending and although they were sad, they still like the show. Some said that they understood what Taofu's intentions were and some were glad it went like the novel. Based on the comments, I would say most Thai fans thought it was a well-done show overall.

After seeing that this drama is being produced by the same company as "Secret Crush On You," I really hope that show will execute the story and romance well.

Grey Rainbow's ending absolutely made no sense. Didn't finish The Effect and History 3 MODC because of reviews. Never started on the Shipper lol. I think MOTB is the only acceptable one for me, although I still hate the ending for MOTB honestly lol. I really want to petition to reshoot the last episode. Seriously.

Just like Nut, I won't be satisfy if it doesn't look like the teddy bear in the show lol 😭

I came back here reading the comments  and y'all... Thai forum posts/comments are the same as this comment section lol. I read them through google translate and I would say the ending have mixed reactions even from Thai fans.

I would say half agrees with the ending, while the other half doesn't agree with the ending either. So, whatever we all are feeling about the ending, you guys are not alone on this. This last episode was trending #1 on Twitter in Thailand though.

Most of them said that this drama was well-done overall. Those that didn't the ending said this... Some felt that Taofu shouldn't have died. Some felt that Taofu was being used. Some said that there was no miracle, but only tragic miracles. Some said that Taofu have been sacrificing himself since the beginning, yet being punished for everything. Some felt mad that Nut seem to move on too quickly and got back with Tarn (although this was already explained that it was due to production cut and editing). Some pity for Taofu and his choices in the end because he was a good person. Plus, he didn't get to be with Nut.

Those that liked the ending said this... Some said that it make sense realistically  because Taofu was a teddy bear all along.  Some said that since he was an object, so he was bound to go back to it soon regardless. Some said that he was mainly there for Nut and Tarn. Some are happy that it followed the novel the right way. Some understand Taofu's choices and reasonings on why he did the way he did for both Nut and Tarn.

There was a Thai meme that was so funny when I read it in the Thai forums. I can't stop laughing about it! Basically there was a photo of Nut and Tarn in the last episode. The meme line was "Slept throughout the whole story, but woke up as a hero." This line was basically referring to Tarn lol. Poor Taofu. It was you who did all the hard work figuring everything out, but Tarn took partial credit lol. I swear that was funniest meme I've seen for the show lol!

But jokes aside, I think I agree with both side of the arguments. I still love this drama though. Would I still recommend this show to someone else? Definitely a yes! But I will tell them that it's a bittersweet ending they may not expect. I'm sure everyone all wished a better outcome for this drama, but I feel that it is fine the way it ended as well. Not satisfied, but I can understand where the author is coming from when he/she wrote the ending. If they actually filmed an alternative ending, I would have been happy enough. I will definitely rewatch this drama in the near future, but for now, I need a break from it while I process everything.

I just started watching this show mainly because there were lots of views on youtube, and oh boy... it's going to take some time for me to get used to it lol. The series is also kinda slow at times. It's really hard getting into Toh's character. Why did they do him like that?! Lol. I really want to like Toh, but his character irks me quite a lot. I'm just sticking around because Billy is kinda hot. I love his sexy voice too lol.

What I will say is that I will try not to judge Toh because his character is very similar to this Japanese BL called "My Beautiful Man." The plot isn't the same, but the characters Toh and Hira and their thinking are kinda alike. They both like their man far away kinda like a fan-idol love. Not exactly, but close enough.

I heard that this is supposedly Saint's first show? I would say its just OK. Not anything out of the ordinary. I hope Toh changes and it gets better though lol.

I feel like the writers feel like they didn't need to expand on this part because it should have been pretty much self explanatory throughout the drama. I understand that some people need confirmation on why Taofu looks like Neung, but I think by viewing the show, you can already understand why Taofu looks like Neung. Taofu cannot look like anyone else that both Nut and Tarn cannot recognize. Because they recognize how Neung looks like, this is probably why Taofu looks like Neung.

All the past BL/Queer/LGBT films and shows that I watched were often sad. That's why I enjoyed the enjoy the more fluffy ones. It's fine if this show was like ITSAY too. People enjoyed ITSAY because even though it was a rocky relationship, they still ended up together.

I watched just last episode of Teddy Bear just now and I feel like they have the opportunity to change the ending into a good one. I'm not too sad about it, but I wished it could have turn out better. It ended on a bittersweet note.

Alright. I finished the last episode and somehow, I have mix emotions of the ending. Its a bittersweet ending. As much as I don't like the ending, I am somewhat OK with the ending. I'm not satisfied with it, but I'm OK with it lol. I'm sure we all wished that Taofu actually stayed in his human form than his teddy bear form.

What is my rating and overall thoughts on this show?... I would rate it 9/10 still. Overall, this show took almost 2 years to film and edit. I'm actually quite happy how the drama turned out and how the drama carried itself really well. I don't regret watching this show at all. I never got bored watching each episodes. I keep the good memories only lol. I still enjoy the overall journey of this show.

I gotta say I was cracking up so bad when Taofu got out of his coffin and finally found Ms. left slipper. That shit was funny! Lol

I guess the only unanswered question is why Taofu looks like Neung. My guess is that Neung was Nut's first real crush and he was a fond memory of both Tarn and Nut. This is probably why Taofu looks like Neung.

In a way, it's a small happiness, but seeing how the drama promoted both Taofu and Nut as the main characters (main lovers) is just clearly misleading. They should have promoted Tarn more so that we all know how it is suppose to end like in the novel. I'm not going to be happy watching the last episode, but I guess it's whatever now. 🥲

Yea. I'm sure lots of people would drop it because we are tired of seeing depressing BL/LGBT shows where it's usually sad and depressing like all the past films/series. Us international viewers don't know much close the drama is to the novel, so most of us don-t have no idea how it show will turn out. I just can't believe they stuck with the ending like the novel.
