It's diff for me, I am more invested in ARP acting as Fan Yue & Jing Yuan. I couldn't feel much about CH acting as Chong Zhao, his character came off one dimensional. Only time I did see CH acting is when he was Moli. I guess I am tired of seeing him play same character like CZ since this is 3rd drama of seeing him play same character. I was sold by ARP acting. I think what you were looking for is a domineering type of Demon, all those actors you mentioned collaborated with Lulu in other dramas bfre and one thing they all have in common is that they played ML character that is Domineering in their drama w/ Lulu. I guess you prefer that type and maybe depends on fave actor too. Fan Yue character was never meant to be written domineering type, he was only using his cold appeal as facade bcoz of what he went through when he was younger. So for me I find it refreshing bcoz for once we got a new relationship dynamic for BL and they are most healthy couple in Xianxia.
