I agree with you. I have witnessed these toxicity as well in almost all the other dramas I had watched. The double standard for FL characters - or actresses are sadly being a norm now. It's frustrating the length some would go too. Right they really need to be kept in check and reported but this site is useless when it comes to reporting, nothing happens.

which scene were you referring to, from what I can remember the second half of the story took a darker turn and everything happening was too emotionally evoking, her character by second half went through a tough and painful emotional process. if you were referring to the scene at the bingyi land when they got unfrozen, her reaction that time was more of affection one not totally annoyance, she was gravely devastated beforehand and her action towards zyz afterwards expresses how she is mad for the little care he has in his life and at same time suffering in pain.
you should drop the drama if you find it hard to continue, it's understandable not everyone has same preferences when it comes to dramas so maybe this one is just not for you!
Visiting this comment section again because am missing this drama, sad to see the comment section became a mess it wasn't this bad when this drama was still airing many watchers were leaving positive comments and discussing about the drama itself without the constant shade.
It's sad to see familiar accounts (retiredgodofwar, reverie, hallyuheart) here who have long said they didn't like this drama or already dropped it come back here to camp and leave negative comments. I mean it is normal to have negative comments as people can have their own opinion, but the obsession these certain users have to keep coming back to this comment section just to leave a negative comment over and over again is such a toxic behavior. I don't know why such people waste their time on negativity. Like no one is forcing them to love/like this drama or to watch this drama.
Move on. Dramas exist for entertainment no need to waste time on things you didn't like. It ruins the experience for others. you should give it a try, its realistic and like what others said heart warming but personally if you are in a slump in life or have experienced most of what the characters in this drama wen through then you will be able to find comfort in them and relate at some point

I mean others who were saying that. I think people saying that weren't fully able to connect with her character, those of us who did appreciated her character even if she lacked spotlight. I also saw comments saying the drama would still be complete without her - I don't think so, because her character is a connecting piece here and yeah she does have value just like the others.

Like if she is a strong character they will say she lacks feelings, if she is a weak they will say they are useless. But --- male characters whether they are badly written or not, as long as they have visuals audience would swoon over to them. Even the toxic, manipulative and red flag male leads aren't that criticize as heavily as female characters do.
WX character here is just 'physically weak' but she is smart and she is not useless. I don't think her character is badly written. Just because she is a physically weak character doesn't make her badly written. Like you said she adds essence to the story and she served as a guide for the team. The real problem lies with how GJM failed to utilize her character in the drama, he failed to give her limelight and the 'baize goddess' more arc in the story.
To add, if she is badly written then there is no need for her to be added in the story but that is not the case here. As main leads are not only sharing the story with the 2 of them, they share it with the second leads and supporting characters even the guest characters, so the limelight/spotlight was not evenly given.
