Rewatched this series a couple years later, and as I’ve grown older, I appreciated the lessons told through this drama even more now. It is truly a hidden gem and is just so beautiful.
My take: Overall 8/10 - The series is the definition of clichés done right...until the last episode. I haven't fully watched a k-drama in over 4 years, so my experience with recently released k-dramas is rather minimal, but one thing still holds the same: the storyline introduces an unnecessary plot-twist within the last 15 minutes of the entire drama that screws up everything they have built. The ending was rather bare and needed more closure, especially when compared to rest of the series. Second couple needed more closure and screen time in the last episode, plot-twist didn't need to happen, and a bigger bow could have tied the ending better.
With that said, the actors and actresses played their characters phenomenally! The cast was superb, and Kim Se Jeong is an insanely talented actress. I am not sure if this was just because of the character, but I think Kim Min Gue and his character were a bit stiff and lacked some personality at times (but I think that mainly was because that's just who the character Cha Sung Hoon is). This series was light-hearted and had clichés thrown at the viewers right and left, but I'm not complaining because that was what I wanted to see. Can definitely re-watch the series but just not the ending.
I'm hesistant to watch it because although I am a huge dan of YY, I haven't been able to stand Dilraba is any of the series she has acted in that I have watched...
same omg! I'm on episode 17, and I'm starting to get hella annoyed at her character... so immature even for an…
so tru. both characters def had their faults during the conflict. i def saw some character development with the fl when she gave him a good yell when he ran away to the countryside though!

Just finished the series, and she much improved from episode 17 thankfully. overall, i enjoyed the ending but did find myself going crazy in the middle!
agreed! although bdsm isn't really my thing, i tried to watch this with an open mind. however, her acting is off and the overall vibe of the movie was cringe and shallow...

will slowly continue to watch it to finish it, but i hope her character development will improve over the next 12 episodes... if not, im in for a longggg ride.
Completely agree with your review! Luv this adaptation the most as it took the original story on a darker spin, and the character development was top tier.
My take: Overall 9/10 - This Thai version is the best adaptation I have seen so far. The character development is god tier and Ren's relationship with Goyra truly made me fell for the second lead more than other versions. Everyone's looks was drop-dead gorgeous and considering that this was 3 of the actor's debut drama, they played their characters really well. Of course, the story itself is problematic and toxic, but this version was able to add their own twists that made this unique. I wish there were a few more episodes because 16 episodes felt rushed with the storyline (but I don't need 50 episodes like with Meteor Garden, the Chinese 2018 adaptation- that was way too long). I also NEEDED more closure with Kaning and Kavin omggg; I felt like their chemistry was honestly better than Goyra and Thyme, but I'm biased haha. I felt so empty afterwards not because of the main couple but because of the lack of screen time for the second couple :'((( I hope we get to see Kavin and Kaning as the main couple in a future project!
Honestly, this is the best adaptation by far. Wow! It was worth the wait. I knew my heart couldn’t stand it…
Same! I had to wait for all the episodes to premiere bc I know I would be binging it, and I would die if I had to wait for new episodes every week :'))) but it was so worth the wait!
Totally agree with your review! I feel like the series could use a couple more episodes to smoothen things out and not rush certain parts but definitely not 50 episodes like with the Chinese version haha.
