Not everyone has the same mindset. Not everyone will think like you do in that situation. Insecurities and low self esteem issue are very much real. Is Jiwoo a flawed human being? Absolutely. But its exactly that part of him that makes it so very realistic. I am not defending any sort of behavior exhibited by Jiwoo , but I do understand. But hey, I also understand your point completely. Jiwoo has to grow up and realize the heartbreak he has caused to those around him. And I really do hope that he will. Anyway, thanks for a well-explained answer ^_^

I agree with most of what you said but Ji Woo is someone who has poor self esteem due to several reasons- him being ghosted by his girlfriend, the owner of the previous restaurant always complimenting the other guy as he had studied abroad etc.. so when it comes to ji woo.. he ends up thinking he is somehow not enough.. so while he is indeed an impressive chef, he does not know how to deal with his insecurities which end up shadowing all his talent. So Ji Woo acting like he did, does make sense to me. He was replaceable in every important relationship he had before- be it romantic or friendly.. so naturally he thinks Seo Joon will also be able to replace him and this very thought is what eats him away , ultimately causing him to run away from everything.

Ikr.. I read some of the theories in the below comment threads and that kind of help me get a little respite. It's amazing how something can be so heartbreaking yet equally captivating.

Yes! Finally someone said it! I too was wondering about the "toxic" comments when i couldn't find anything toxic about this show.

It was a good decision to binge watch the last few eps! Ah i will miss this. And even though its been said many times, I'll say it again.. Namgoong is absolutely adorable!!

Anyone pondering over whether to watch this show or not.. I'd say go right ahead! Both seasons are incredible and if you love mystery or crime thrillers, this is right up your alley.
