Why? Maybe the novel reader can prevent your agony and let you know early how her ending will be😅.
Because she is like the purest soul. The leads can keep on killing eachother or dying but don't hurt that pure soul.

i totally can identify with the FL, as she comes from modern times, and all that killing stuff is really beyond…
Is there a published book for this?

he yan as general feihong is not feared for his active combat skills (or physical appearance) but as a strategist…
If you think from this angle, then showing her fighting skills wouldn’t have raised this much attention compared to showing her strategy skills.

i thought xiao jue let song taotao stay in the camp bcz of he yan,at the thought that he yan might need a female…
I think being domineering is a must for a general. You're not preparing for a coding competition where the person who's good at algorithms becomes the leader. This is war. If you can't even subdue your own men, you can't rally them or lead them into battle. Of course, a general should also have other important qualities, but the ones she possesses are those of a strategist, not a general.

I agree, she has the qualities of a strategist, but not those of a general. Yet they're trying to portray her as some god-like general.

Generals have different personalities. What matters is their capacity to lead, their courage, make decisions on…
Everywhere I go, I see people making these lame excuses.

If you're good at coming up with solutions, gathering information, communicating effectively, then you should be a strategist. That’s exactly why generals always had strategists to guide them. Being domineering is a must for a general, because without it, you can't rally or even control your own men, let alone lead them into war. Of course, a general should also have the qualities of a strategist.

On top of that, she had to learn archery and spear fighting just to compete with fresh recruits. I’d bet she wasn’t even the best in her own battalion.

And then there's the part where it was apparently fine for a man like Cheng Li Su to know she’s a woman, but not Song Taotao? That makes no sense.

Why does everything feel so forced? Every moment that's meant to make He Yan shine seems out of place. For example, in the fight where she killed He Rufei's men, everything was flowing naturally until, out of nowhere, she provoked him and killed him. Xiao Jue saw it happen but did nothing.

Then in the army camp fight, Xiao Jue knew about the mole. Since he was already planning to leave the camp, shouldn't he have made arrangements or at least informed someone? But no, it's like no one has a brain except He Yan. Even after she warned the temporary commander, he did absolutely nothing.

She keeps saying she's the number one in the camp, but she only competed with this year's recruits. How can she claim to be the best in the entire camp? And honestly, she’s not general material. Yes, she’s cute and beautiful, but that’s not enough, you want a general to be domineering. The scene where she was calling out the tribal leader felt like a comedy skit. Just look at the difference in their appearance. The tribe leader is physically imposing, and then there’s her, a cute girl pretending to be a boy.

Even the scene where Xiao Jue applied medicine on her felt forced. Considering Song Taotao is also in the camp and is a capable physician, there was no real reason for that encounter to happen.

I don’t know if they cut out a lot of important story elements in the adaptation compared to the novel, or if the story itself is just being forced.

Wtf? Who wrote this story? It's like they never learn their lesson.
Everyone keep on thinking they are the real deal and keep getting fooled. It's like the same story again and again.
