if you remember how the court maid described the old SY, she was quite arrogant and from the spinoff and BI's…
for me, SB in queens body acted the same after the alleged soul merge, except of maybe memories and platonic attraction to a king... but its just again my opinion.
i mean i cant deny that youre right, because you're following the logic of the plot ... which is definitely it is as it is ...
but at the same time if the SYs personality consisted of two merged souls (SB n SY, which i still think that SBs personality was the prominent one), and one part has 'departed' can you really say that it was the same person after all? Thats the whole point of my opinion.
Even, the Hye Sans acting changed when she was playing SY before in flashbacks ... and she was nice but it wasn't the person we all like tbh ...
unfortunately, i haven't seen spinoff, maybe it will explain some things ...
in the scene where CJ confessed his love to SY for the first time, he was talking about new So Yong (Bong Hwan) ... he said something like 'youre arrogant selfish and tough around the edges ...', the old SY was never like that :/

boundaries between being in love with someone and interfering in others relationships (even if the relationship about to end), the privacy of one to have a personal life outside of work (what if Song Ah knew about his future marriage, the whole situation could've turned out differently), and personal space -- he touched her lips, followed her when she was in the club, etc... We're all a little bit biased here because ML is young and has a puppy face :) I bet it would look different if a senior colleague who’s 50-60 yo acted the same...
Well, and the cultural difference because I was not sure if everything I've mentioned considered ok in Korea, or any other country .... that’s why I asked for other opinions ...

I don't feel bad about Jae Shin's past because he acts like trash. Even Song Ah said something like 'you act like a teenager who has nothing' ... and I think that's true because he plays a victim, but still had enough courage to date two women at the same time. What actually annoys me, even more, is that he tried to 'fight' for her but at the same time, still was preparing for his wedding -- that's lowkey disgusting. Moreover, Song Ah doesn't have the best mom either (they played stereotypical crazy affectionate mom cliche here), but she still was ready to take a risk and marry him.
When it comes to Hyun Seung I actually have changed my mind. Comparing to Jae Shin, he is very innocent and light. Maybe the word 'stalker' sounded too strong ... I was talking more about his absence of knowledge about boundaries, other peoples privacy, and personal space :) Even though they were colleagues and maybe a little bit more than that, he still should've known better about those basic concepts. That's why I said, that it might be a cultural difference ...
I’m watching 5th episode, and I can say Jae Shin is such trash. I don’t even really want to analyze his behavior and past issues tbh. He plays a victim, but in reality, he’s just a piece of trash.
On the other side, Hyun Seung is a little bit more interesting as a character. But I find him a little bit clingy. I’d even describe him as a stalker. But maybe I’m biased, and it’s just a cultural difference? What do you think guys?
