I love watching historical dramas and this has fast becoming one of my favourite series to go back to watch over and over again. This is a little long so make sure that you have plenty of time to watch this. The cast selection was amazing! I fell in love with the hair, makeup and costume design immediately. There had been so much detail in creating each of the concubine's look throughout the series especially when they gotten promoted or demoted. There was such a difference.
I was hooked from the first episode onwards, the series is very engaging and I loved the music that accompanied the romantic parts.
Each of the cast members had done such a great job in portraying their characters and brought them all to life. The politics between the women were so real and sometimes cruel was facinating to watch. I would highly recommend watching this if you are interested in palace and historical dramas.

I started watching this series because of Nicky Wu and Cecilia Liu. And they made such a great couple onscreen and off screen of course. This was a hilarious show to be watching. I love the historical setting that the story was set in and the supporting characters were hilarious as well. It was a well thought out plot line and even though there was some seriousness in there, but it was mostly a comedy show. Nicky Wu's performance was always fantastic, I did feel that sometimes Cecilia's character was a bit too whiney for me at times and I didn't see real character growth either.  But I did enjoy them both together though.

I was so good!!!!! This is actually one of my first anime shows that I watched that was turned into a live action drama. So I could definitely be a little biased with my review. But it was really good. I loved the characters, music and of course the storyline. It was a really good series to be watching, there was a dream like storyline that was taken from the anime but the live action added their own style and twists. And I felt that each of the characters/actors took the initiative to add in their 2 cents in as well.
I can't even put into words on how much I loved watching this series and I still come back to this to watch every now and again.

I was blown away with this series! It was easy to follow and themain events were still pretty accurate to actual history events. I felt that this was an interesting remake of some of the older dramas of the same family. One of the brilliant things about this drama is they managed to get some of the top actors to either be leads or supporting actors and what a cast that was put together. I was so happy that so many of my favourite actors were all on the one big screen.
The acting was top notch and the story had kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I just loved it!

One of the reasons why I watched this was cause it's a continuation of It started with a Kiss. And I loved watching that. This one doesn't' disappoint either. This is a direct continuation of the first series and this also followed the manga quite closely. This second part I felt was super important to the storyline and the directors didn't disappoint. It still retained the witty funny dialogue that the first series had created but there was some seriousness towards the end and it had followed the manga in that sense. The actors have all done a phenomenal job in portraying each of the characters and showing their growth but also keeping to the core of the characters from the first series to the second which is really hard to do.  The other thing that I loved about this was the catchy music. I still listen to the music now.

First of all what attracted me to watch this was the main actor and actress. I love both of them very much and have seen great things that comes from them. My first impression of this series is that it's just another romcom drama. But I was very surprised about the plot, the characters and also the twists and suspense were all top notch.

This show reminded me of books and shows that are from a different century. The love loss and the coming together again were all done so well. The show had a really good pace and I was hooked just by watching one episode. I've seen this series about 3 times and since it's come onto Australian Netflix I keep going back to it. The chemistry between Ady and Vanness were perfect and one of my favourite characters was their little boy. He was really the star of the show.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I really enjoyed watching this on netflix. Even though Netflix split some of the episodes up to make 26 episodes instead of the 17. I loved all the actors and actresses through this drama and they did such a great job in bringing all the characters to life. I felt that sometimes that the pace of the story could have gone a little faster than it was but all in all I enjoye watching it. I liked the storyline and the music wasn't too bad. However, this wouldn't be something that I would pull out to re-watch too many times like some of the other dramas that I loved. Even though I enjoued watching but I still felt that it was still missing something.

After watching this I liked it but it didn't live up to my expectations though. I felt that the acting wasn't the best and I just didn't really enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters. I felt that they could have done a lot better with the casting and done a better job at the plot. I've watched the other revisions from Japan and Taiwan and they were both pretty amazing in their own ways. They adapted but this was really just a lovesick girl. I thought that this adaptation could have done a lot better. With all that said I still watched it to the end and it was a good filler show to watch when I didn't have anything good to watch.

This wasn't the typical Asian criminal/police drama that you see. This was closer to the western style where it was about the each individual case rather than having an overarching storyline. The main character played Dr. Qin very well and the supporting characters were pretty great at supporting Dr.Qin. I felt that it was a perfect personality combined with the 3 of them.  I don't really remember the music from the story but I would definitely rewatch this series over and over again. I would really wish that they would be making a second season of this show. I was also surprised that there wasn't really a romantic side to things here which was a breath of fresh air for me.

I absolutely loved this series!! Wallace Huo was amazing in this. I've always loved his performances and he didn't disapoint me this time. The storyline for this series was well written and the casts made stunning performances to bring everything to life. The plot was edgy and intriguing. There was a lot of suspense in each episode with each case. It wasn't predictable at all and I was usually surprised. I also loved the supporting characters as well they were funny but they also had really good roles to play and I felt that the romance of the main characters didn't overtake the main plot or the cases that they were on.

To be honest I didn't really enjoy watching this drama at all. At first, it was really interesting to watch but I soon felt that the story was really stretching and it had gotten too long in my opinion. I felt that this should have been shorter and if it were shorter the pace would have been a lot faster and there wouldn't be a bunch of storylines that were just there as time fillers.
I felt that the main female character was a little too whiney for my tastes and all she really did was complain and couldn't do much right and needed saving for most of the time. I wouldn't be rewatching this at all.

This has been my first crime show from Taiwan and I did enjoy it. I had been watching this on Netflix and even though the storyline of each of the cases was quite predictable I felt that I still loved watching it. Each of the characters was quite interesting.  But I felt that they should have made the series longer so that we could have gotten to know the characters a little more. I was very interested in knowing a few of the main characters back story a little more so that I could understand some of the decisions they made during some of the cases.
I think is something worth your time to watch and highly recommend this.

This series is a must watch!!! I absolutely loved it. I have seen the one that was made in 1996 when I was much younger but I felt that the cast here was so much better. Especially Fei Yun Fan, I felt that Alex was the better choice, he seemed older but not looking that old which is a hard cast to cast in this case and he hasn't had much experience in making this type of romance series but I felt that he played the character so well! I was absolutely mesmerized by his performance. The two sisters were also well casted and it was obvious that Zhi Ling had grown up towards the end of the series even though at times I felt that she needed to stand up for herself for her dreams and what she wants and actually live for herself.
The first time that I had watched this series I had felt much like Zhi Ling and how she felt trapped all the time. I felt that I had needed someone to take me away from all the troubles that I had. This series was my kind of way to disappear and have some time to myself.
The music was fantastic, it was catchy and matched well with the series. I highly recommend watching this. Let me know how you like it!
