I started watching it because of the positive review but i'm halfway through and I don't find the characters likable at all. Geum Ja pisses me off and I don't get why the male lead is chasing her and acting like an annoying brat when she's around. I's frustrating to watch 2 grown ups(the female lead is 50 ffs) act like little kids. and is hee jae really the ace of S&K? he's just an arrogant prick who, if anything, loses more cases than he wins

This version is really bad. I just finished the korean version and wanted to compare it to the original. I realized the remake is way superior, different in so many aspects, character development, plot twists, story logic, cinematography, OST...

I totally agree with you ! I feel like he's overacting and makes so many expressions to hide his bad acting. It's especially bad here

this drama started out well, it was getting better and better. After ep 10, it went downhill. I couldn't bear it any longer after finshing ep 17. Nothing good happened starting from that ep: noble idiocy, stupidity ( like father like son), good hearted characters are so dumb while evil characters are so evil : there's no balance and it gets to a point where the frustration makes you swear at the characters and at the writer. I originally gave this drama 8/10 and thought it would be better than Goblin. Now after I completed it ( It was so bad I had to fast forward eps and read recaps instead of properly watching it), I gave it a final score of 4.And that's only because I liked the first episodes. It's too bad so much potential that the plot offered and opportunities to avoid overused clichés weren't fully explored...

I didn't feel any sympathy towards the charachters, the "good" guys pissed me off more than anything especially Yo gwang. Some actions they did made me wish they died before making other stupid choices. I think one of the major problems in this drama is that the good guys were too good which made them seem stupid instead and the evil guys were too evil for me to bear. And "surprisingly", someone evil is indestructible but once they change sides they become vulnerable. I didn't drop a tear while watching the "emotional scenes". I didn't even feel sad. This drama became such a disappointment starting from like ep 13 or 14. It had the potential to be a masterpiece yet korean writers always find a way to ruin a good drama. huh I feel like I'm the only one complaining about dramas in general.

For me it's 1988 by far. Out of the 3 reply series, I got attached to this one the most. It's family and friendship oriented unlike the other 2 and develops stories with deep meaning behind them for most characters. The 2 guys are equally developed I would say, so it was really difficult for me to guess who the husband is. And that's a good point because there wouldn't be a main lead and a second lead in your real life.

well maybe I didn't explain myself clearly enough but I couldn't relate to the characters mainly because of their acting.I gave their dramas many chances but I always come to this conclusion so I had to say it

the show isn't simply bad ( it was boring from the beginning for me) ,it's lame and disgusting. not only there's no chemistry between the main leads and their personnalities suck and they're so unlikable, but adding the old 'grandma' to the mix as a romantic interest makes this unbearable for me to watch ! omg what a disappointment. I will probably ban any future drama with han ye seul and sung joon

Omg I feel so bad for Park Hae Jin for being tricked into choosing a drama that had potential but was turned into a mess. At first it was good but then it changed direction and I think it couldn't get worse. I'm so disappointed with a lot of things, from the male lead's lack of screen time to Inho and Inha's anoyying childish behaviour to the atrocious ending. Also, the story neglected important things like how seol and yoo jung came to understand each other and explaining yoo jung's dual personnality (which made him come off a psychopath) and concentrated on useless things like inho's dreams and problems and his sister's yelling and shallowness. I can't believe the twisted complex main lead had his character development offscreen !!! I'm so pissed off, the drama had so much potential but was ruined, don't watch it, it would be a waste of time

Amazing drama ! I never got bored even for the slightest moment ! The actors' performance is amazing especially Nam Gung Min. Even though it's not without defaults, I got so involved with the characters and so attached to the story that I gave it a 10. and that is an accomplishment I would say

Same here, she drives me nuts !! Not only is her acting always all over the top with excessive and irritating yelling, but also too much plastic surgery made her look like a plastic doll... So I don't know if I will like this show. Moreover, I hate idols' acting... But I think I'll still give it a try

Now that i've almost finished it, i get why people are complaining. It's like the drama is divided in two parts. part one "yong pal " 2 episodes long which is the best part abot the show. The second part "yeo jin" doesn't relate to the plot at all, it's like i'm watching another show... the writing doesn't make sense starting at some point, the romance was too rushed and Tae Hyun seems more like a spporting character rather than a main one.

well I've watched 8 episodes and all I can say is so far so good... hope it gets better or at least not worse, but that's unlikely seeing the comments and the MDL rating evolution

I also recommend you watch it. Having read the manga, watched the anime and the movies, i wasn't expecting much from the drama. Besides the comments said that the first 5 episodes were boring, but i still wanted to give it a try. Surprisingly, I was blown away, like seriously, even though I only watched 5 episodes so far. So it's good to hear that it even gets better after. Although this drama's pillar of strength is suspense and I forgot the details so it kept me interested

almost no romance at all, lee hyun is supposed to be a genius but i didn't notice any smart moves except for first few eps i guess, it was easy to figure out who the bad guys were, too much cases that seemed unrelated , again a clueless and dumb main character, no chemistry at all, you would say the bromance scenes outnumbered the actual romance scenes, unexplained and unneeded behaviours, in short, a non consistant and boring drama that i expected a lot more from.
