Guido Orefice is the name of the "hero" in the Oscar-winning movie "life is beautiful". Its main actor, the "clown"…
Thank you for pointing me to that article. The writer is also quoted as saying, “Through our intentionally extravagant drama, I want to gift viewers with the feeling of excitement that comes with not knowing when that sense of love one had felt before will find them again, as well as the comfort of knowing that they are worthy of being loved.”
I, for one, didn't have this glorious feeling watching Ae Jeong in this drama. It was more like frustration that she would not accept the love that came to her again and that she was unworthy of Dae Oh's love. And I certainly didn't get that feeling from watching Dae Oh's journey back to Ae Jeong. Instead I felt pity and outrage on his behalf.

I watched that movie so long ago that I didn't even pick up the reference. As for whether a publisher would have picked him up with that name, unknown---so little makes sense in this show.
"Guido Orefice"-----everything anyone needs to know about NOT watching this show.
Oh Dae Oh punished to the end. Given a pen name that sounds like "a-hole" and called one by Ae Jeong in that scene. I swear this scriptwriter had a bad boyfriend in college and wrote this drama to punish him and exorcise her demons.
The preview made me realize that Ae Jeong has still not told Ha Ni the whole truth about Dae Oh so this annoying show will have material for the finale episode! Nothing else makes sense, sigh.
Koo Pa Do for the win again in the scene with the kids. Equal parts bad ass and loving dad. Too bad he didn't have a cute meet with the bar owner.
As the show comes to a close and releases us all from its grip, I'm wondering---- will Yeon Woo find love?
I think Ah Rin and Ryu Jin will end up together. Koo Pa Doo and the bar owner are my OTP. Who's left? Ae Jeong's assistant? A PTA mom? Ae Jeong's mom? Ha Ni has Dong Chan.
For a terrible moment, I thought it would serve Ae Jeong right if Dae Oh died of his injuries. Because it shouldn't take him nearly dying for him to have a chance to be loved.
Koo Pa Do and Dong Chan were the stars of this episode for me. And I'm all for the KPD x Bar Owner love line. Plus, I love succulents too. LOL!
Nope, they don't. Most k-nets dislike AJ right now. The MVP for k-nets is DO because they like SHJ's acting a…
That's really interesting. I actually don't feel great chemistry between those two. A lot of fighting, cutting off sentences, and one-sided apologies so I'm tired of AJ and sorry for DO.
EXACTLY re: RJ, his empty words were meaningless! So he tells HN that her father "never actually left her", but…
Exactly! YW telling her is entirely plausible. I was even thinking the gangster might end up somehow telling her but he seems to have truth telling problems himself. Every time a character can’t fess up in this show, I feel my head starting to explode!
The bar owner telling DO that Ae Jeong always means the opposite of what she says CANNOT fix the fact that she's always the victim, never sticks up for DO and never apologizes to him . Ryu Jin is not redeemed by taking HN for the entire day and telling her half the story---conveniently gets to be a hero without taking responsibility for breaking up her parents. Ugh!
A better episode but it was on my last nerve that HN was apologizing to her mom for her life. Everyone apologizes to AJ----can DO get one at some point? At least he gets to finish some of his sentences now.
Yay for HN and DC being friends again! And YW having a backstory and not being such a clingy loser.
BTW, I could use more scenes with Koo Pa Do, so wondering what happened to the Chinese gang hunting down AJ? Did YW's mom help or not? And how is the movie ever going to get made? No one ever works on it!
Episode 11 did confirm my love for the bar owner who pieced together in her 15 seconds of screen time that AJ and DO still care for each other. One of the only emotionally intelligent characters. And the gangster grabbing AJ and pulling her to safety had some chemistry. I wait for his story but only get dribs and drabs.
Worst stand-out moments: AJ finally finds out the DO really never got her msgs - BUT THEN AJ DOESN'T TELL DO NOR…
Totally agree. I realized after the talk in the cafe that I don't want DO and AJ to get back together. She didn't trust him, he couldn't confide in her, and she doesn't want him in HN's life. And it was probably the only time they didn't yell at each other.
BTW, how did they go out for nearly a year and her mother know nothing about him? AJ was besotted and thinking of marriage and never mentioned him to her mom? Convenient to the plot, but pretty unbelievable.
