So the baize token was broken shortly after having found it by a mountain God who colluded with LL. Initially they wanted to merge the two halves after restoring the wilderness, so the half on ZY would be taken away and be whole with WX but LL intervened to break it so he could be free from being chained by the baize power.
His plan succeeded and to repair the baize token, WX had to cultivate a divine tree for 300 yrs (you'll understand more of those details on that ep) and she succeeded in doing so. After that, she saved and restored the Wilderness but now her body is experiencing pain, especially in her heart. She ask Bai Jiu's mom (yes she's now back) why this is happening and they didn't show us ...prob in future eps for now. That's about it for now regarding why she's feeling pain.
My theory is that bcuz she raise that tree for 300 yrs inside the sundial artifact she also added her life essence while creating that flute, linking it to herself and the more she uses it, the more it'll cost her and decrease her life span? so she's experiencing pain as a result..😭😭 just a theory but idk
