You're right, honestly - I didn't think about that side of it, but yeah, she might not actually love him; she's just attached to him because he saved her.
the series could've been shorter. It did a great job highlighting the work of firefighters in a focused and beautiful way, but in my opinion, there was way too much filler. And the romantic moments and kisses weren't really what I was hoping for.
