Don't forget you don't have to post your opinion about something you didn't watch. Have that in mind next time before posting such meaningless comment.

I understand that it is about multiple personality. The whole thing on how Hsiao Tung become Tien Ching is reasonable,…
I don't remember the names of the characters so I assume Joy is that lesbian girl and I think the whole point is FL appropriated the names and personality of some real people. She heard the name of that blind girl over the radio and she took the identity of Joy the same way, so when she met the real Joy in the hospital at the end of episode 5, that's when her current identity fell apart. You can also see in the montage at the beginning of episode 6 how these personalities even communicate with each other as she is supposedly talking with that Chi Chi girl over the phone but in reality she is not even holding the phone in her hand.

I have it the other way around. Because I had watched this series, Had I Not Seen The Sun didn't live up to my expectations.
On Had I Not Seen the Sun Nov 17, 2025
I was looking forward to this because it's from the same screenwriters as Someday or One Day, but sadly this was huge disappointment for me so far. I even wonder if an input from director and actors was what made Someday or One Day so great because I'm not getting anything remarkable from this show. Bad acting, bad writing, predicable plot, underdeveloped characters, cheesy dialogues, everything is over-explained and the story drags too much. At no point I was invested in the story. There were so many cliches, you can even get drunk easily if you play a game "Take a shot every time you see a clenched fist on screen". The male lead was unconvincing in a role of a highschooler as he looks older and stronger than most of his bullies. All bad guys are cartoon villains and they rejoice in doing evil making Joker-like evil smile in every scene. I don't believe it will get much better in the second half as it will only rely on watching all the villains getting their brutal comeuppance. I watched Someday or One Day many times and I will re-watch it in the future, but this series I consider to be a waste of time even for a single watch.

Title Switched Spoiler
Some unintentionally funny parts: For example one female character has video recording of a suicide, which shows a woman jumping from the roof and hitting the ground. Even if there is no real reason to show this even once, as telling about it would be enough, you will see this recording 4 times (in 6 part series!) in its entirety. She literally shows it to everyone who comes to visit her, even if these visitors are just high-schoolers. And this woman always shows up conveniently to deliver some exposition of the story when needed. Also there is talking bird, which overhears some conversation, so he is warning people about the trap. But they don't believe him and they fall into that trap anyway, so this talking bird doesn't serve any purpose for the story. And if you think about it the whole concept of the story is ludicrous, because these characters are risking their lives because of some high school crush.

I really enjoyed this drama even if it was more for its "so bad it's good" aspects of the story. I was laughing out loud at some parts where I wasn't supposed to. If you like dark humor, you will see what I mean. I will give some examples under spoiler comment. Also there was so many scenes repeated in flashbacks you will feel as if you watched this series multiple times even after one viewing.

She didn't end any lives and she didn't commit any crimes. I didn't say anything about good reason, I simply stated that she is tragic character and not villain of the story as some people claim her to be. Even main female character realizes how unfair it was when 17 yo girl had to compete for her love interest with much more experienced 27 yo woman.

That ending just implies they could have met in new timeline regardless of the changes because they were destined to meet. Don't pay much attention to LZW's school uniform, because they obviously didn't have enough time to change his clothes if they were to make that shot in one take.

They didn't believe her, so it didn't affect the timeline. But if LZW revealed himself before her time travel, he was afraid it could change the course of things. His younger self said it on the airport, that if he doesn't die, she will never go back and he will never fall in love with her.

The answer to all three questions is the same: They didn't want to change the timeline. It's a rule of all time travel stories. If you reveal to someone what is going to happen, you risk it will not happen as it's supposed to.

It must be you couldn't able to connect to it probably because of different preferences. & Not a single good actor…
When Huang Yu Xuan starts living as Chen Yun Ru, she has trouble with some ordinary things which people usually do on autopilot. For example she is struggling with alarm clock of Chen Yun Ru's brother, as she is not sure how to switch it off, because people don't use those alarm clocks today anymore. Chen Yun Ru had no problem to switch it off immediately in previous scenes. Also Huang Yu Xuan in Chen Yun Ru's body is not used to those bead strings hanging in door frame in the kitchen, as she is approaching them with caution at first few times. When Huang Yu Xuan asks Wang Quan Sheng (non verbally) for piggyback ride to his new studio, you can see him hesitate for a moment as he looks towards Jessica (receptionist) and he is aware Huang Yu Xuan is doing it deliberately in front of her to claim him as hers, but he hesitates only briefly and does as she asks anyway.

I don't think it's worth the time to explain to someone how good the acting is in this series. Person complaining about acting is even trolling or unable to appreciate real acting skills. The body language alone is on next level in this series. There are multiple details you will notice only with repeated viewing. I will give few examples under spoiler comment.

Imagine you are living life with no friends, no one cares about you. You muster courage to express your love to a boy you love, but you are rejected by him. Then some girl from the future hijacks your body and you are watching from passenger seat how the boy you love is falling for her without her even trying or care about him. You realize you can't blame your body as a reason he rejected you, because with her "behind the wheel" he is attracted to her and she is getting popular in school. You were suicidal and depressed before, but this will make you sink even lower. At the next chance you get, you try to get behind the wheel again to get your life back. You try to imitate her behavior to keep your boyfriend and friends, but even if it takes you so much effort, people notice you changed and start to mock you in a face, telling you that you look like your old you and no one cared about the old you. This is not what I would call "depressed for no reason".

Walkman wasn't the key to time travel, it was the cassette tape LZW ordered and CYR never gave it to him. CYR had the cassette in her backpack when she left it on the roof. MJJ took that backpack and gave it to LZW when they were looking for her. That's how LZW got the cassette. He listened to cassette when driving from prison and travelled in time to WQS body. And after he woke up in hospital, he still had that cassette in his possession, so he could send it to HYX years later. WQS didn't need walkman or cassette, because he never travelled in time.

I don't really understand high praise for this drama, I feel like I'm being trolled. I watched the first 8 episodes and they were awful. There was no progress to the story, characters were annoying, dialogues were horrible. Actors just made odd faces all the time which was accompanied by funny sound effect, but it didn't make the scene any more funny, it was irritating. In "Someday or One Day" drama they utilized the fact main FL was adult woman in highschool girl's body, but FL here just acted as juvenile as her classmates so they didn't get any funny scenes from that fact either. There were stupid plot points as "who broke the window", "tutor me so I can skip to your class", but they didn't move story forward and there was zero character development. ML was very passive and FL was annoying. I just want to warn people who could be fooled like me because this series was recommended to Someday or One Day watchers but this series is not similar in any way.

It's called bookshop for a reason, they collected diary and books only and she clearly had that necklace on her when she disappeared during the car accident, so it shouldn't be in her room anyway.
