Thank you for this tribute. I used to watch Jdoramas a lot, and loved her in her early 2000s dramas. I think Pride was my favorite. The last one I saw was Miss Sherlock, and she was excellent in that. I'm so sad that she felt she had to end it.
at first i really confuse. i taught an ran was xiao nan's sister. because she look pretty young and xiao nan didn't…
Yeah, they really didn't do a good job of aging her (or her ailing husband), she looked like a 30 year old in dawdy clothes. They did a much better job with aging Wallace Huo, he actually looked closer to the age he was supposed to be in 2019.
I'm excited for this! It's been a while since I've watched Zhao Wei in a drama, I think the last one was Tiger Mom. I am also looking forward to Edward Zhang, he was great in Suspect X.
I wish less people watched this drama, hahaha.let's keep it as a hidden gem here :PIt's the perfect workspace…
I watched Misaeng before starting this just for comparison. I'm only on episode 6 now of Ordinary Glory now. They are really similar, China really didn't change much about the storyline.
Loved the 4th story (episodes 7-8). Cao Dun's command of cinematic language and the crew's technical prowess were…
I haven't seen the 4th yet, but totally agree with your opinion of the 3rd. The story itself is ridiculous. I get that they exaggerated it for effect, but still very very unrealistic. She decides to ride a bike 500 km to Wuhan? Somehow they meet on the road when they're both coming from different directions? Instead of hurrying to Wuhan, they stop a kid and listen to his parents convince him to stay where he is?
At least the 1st and 2nd stories were somewhat realistic. Also I agree, I'm always impressed by Lei Jia Yin's acting. While I love Ni Ni, her character here was kind of a crybaby both times we saw her, very unstable character. Not impressed by her crying.
I look forward to watching the 4th story tomorrow.
