This was one of the worst, poorly written, poorly produced and poorly directed kdramas I've ever seen. What happened???…
1. They are buddies and have been since High School. I'm not sure why you expected a full blown romance when it's about more than that. This is also one of the most realistic depictions of a (healthy) romantic relationship since realistically, your partner is like your best friend. 2. Regarding some of the parts with silence, that was most likely added to emphasize realism otherwise the songs were used at the appropriate times. 3. This drama explores the psychology of humans as they are stuck inside said apartment building, without that to build upon the drama wouldn't have a central theme. I don't think you understand the main idea at all and expected something else from this drama.
Interesting premise with a concept about people returning home after disappearing which is a real thing that occurs and used in a lot of tv shows or movies so I'm excited to see how this show uses it. The "horror" tag intrigues me and pushed me to start reading the webtoon.
So excited. I wonder if they'll stick to main stories like beauty water and Jayce the magician or adapt every story for each episode. This is a long webtoon so hopefully we get multiple seasons in the future.
That Scientist. Seriously? The biggest expert on psychopaths and decides to meet one in the abandoned place. Oh…
No problem so glad you guys changed your mind! I still need to watch Stranger since I heard great things about it.
Regarding the "Genius Gene" in the drama, I feel like it's a bit too sci-fi because not all psychopaths are geniuses either haha. Though I can understand it had to be a bit exagerrated for the drama.
To people who watched the movie and don't know yet, this drama will also explore the story of a detective (one of the two friends) who is trying to solve a series of murders in the present year.

Yohan was misunderstood since he's also a psychopath with low emotions, but a highly functioning one who has learned to live normally because he had a better childhood which shows that environment is a big factor of someone becoming a criminal.
Yeah OZ was an interesting thing to add into the mix and shows how you shouldn't mess with innocent people's lives, especially a psychopath kid's life. (Imagine the person you thought was your mom trying to smother you to death and right after that the people who you thought were your family are just killed and burnt alive by some random dude. This event surely led Ba Reum down a worse path.
I didn't have time to before but I just saw the ending scene right now, and I'm shook. We need season 2 for sure! And I like your ideas about the new characters we could have, maybe similar to the dynamics of Kira and L from Death Note. Where we see the story through the psychopath's mind?

Best reason would be because they live in the same city/region and that's the major hospital. It is really funny how there are so many coincidences, such as the granny going to that house out of so many other houses (why tf is Yohan's mom hiring cleaning maids from sketchy places?) and almost all the main characters knowing each other in some way or randomly meeting. K-drama logic...but I can let it slip for this drama since it's mostly driven by the plot and entertaining af lmfao.

I don't think ElektrionHeart finished the drama yet. To anyone who sees, those last 3 comments have huge spoilers lol don't read this thread if you aren't done.

That's great~ Tbh I was also mad at Yo Han in this case for leaving the basement unlocked (how is he rich but doesn't use an electric padlock with a pin number?) or not pushing her harder to leave the house? Though I guess he was too nice :'(
Her asking for help from one of the people she most trusted got her killed sadly. My jaw dropped when we found out what she actually saw in the photo because I totally forgot about that too.
Really! I also thought so because the killer had the same hammer like Yoo Young Chul and only targeted old rich…
This is based off Kwon Il-yong's book "Minds of the Evil" who was the first South Korean criminal profiler. I would say the Red Hat Killer is inspired by Lee Chun Jae, his victims all wore at least 1 type of red clothing item, he would attack them on rainy days and his M.O is similar. Though Lee Chun Jae wasn't caught until only 2020, and during his serial killings back then they didn't have profiling so I think it was changed a little for the drama. The new killer they are investigating definetely is Yoo Young Chul who had profiling methods used on!
Strangers from Hell perfectly demonstrates Sartre's existential statement "Hell is other people", through a modern and captivating story so many can relate to. I want to thank the author Yong Ki Kim for creating such an original webtoon and OCN who did a wonderful job adapting it as well as all the actors/actresses, even the musicians. A true masterpiece that is perfect in every way. I watched this about 2 years ago and still get nostalgic.

You need to finish the drama seriously, that's not the main reason why she was killed. Also she's just the type of caring ahjumma who wants to make everything the cleanest especially since he paid her a lot while she's less priviledged, so to me, this makes the most sense (it's a k-drama so this isn't the most unrealistic thing I have seen). He could have also just told her to leave the house and watched her leave before locking the house doors TT
Nature vs Nurture? Are serial killers born or created? I think this main idea was really illustrated well through out the drama by showing how complex this idea can be in humans. I finished this recently and this drama basically just does somersaults and upside down jumping jacks over your head before you know what's going on. It's a bit confusing in the beginning due to all the flashbacks but after you get that sorted, the show just throws so much suspense and mind fuckery at your face that it gives you a lot of adrenaline to binge it episode after episode. Really plot driven. You will love/hate characters, cry, laugh and enjoy this wild ride. (I have no idea how the writers managed to pull this off and still wrote a clean ending.)

Don't worry I was as frustrated as you at everyone but I think you should finish the drama first if you haven't, because all these questions would be answered. Also, her death wasn't her mistake so don't blame her. :(

I think you should finish the drama first if you haven't, because all these questions would be answered. I'm not going to say anything for now because I feel like you haven't finished it. By the way, she did call/text the police officer she trusted most (Ba Reum said he missed her calls/texts).
A familiar crime k-drama plot line of "past crimes being connected to the future" but still enjoyable to watch with humor, heartbreak and an engaging mystery in a small old town. Viewers who think it's overrated is due to the last few episodes where most of the suspense is lost. Though it's worth watching the first half of the show and you can decide to keep watching or not later on without really feeling like you wasted time since the main plot is wrapped up earlier.

I still need to watch Mouse:The Predator.
