HANDS DOWN the best S Korean drama I have watched! Generally J-dramas do black comedy damn well but this is the first time I saw a k-drama do it well. Hats off to the entire cast and crew for this. this is a 10/10 for me.
People be using the word underrated for every drama nowadays but this one is really underrated. Peak k-drama. They just don't make them like this. Also the rating on this drama shows you how the regular MDL viewers are only into stupid romcoms rather than dramas of actual substance.
Quite agree with some parts but here's my view too 1.If you're watching a romance drama that revolves around a…
why are people calling this a black comedy LMAO how is this even a black comedy Heard it through the grapevine is a fantastic black comedy. Peak K-drama indeed. Thank you for your recommendations. I will check out the other 2.
WOW this show is so overhyped. I cant believe the high score because it was such a mess. I wasted my time with this. Dropped at Episode 9. - the male lead rejoiced over her death & that was glossed over like it is so normal?! - making them a distant couple was just a trope rather than an actual issue that is yet to even be addressed. 9 episodes in where is the development or romance? the family has gotten more screentime than them. Also are they seriously a married couple? They dont look like or behave like one. Yeah they sleep in separate rooms and stuff. But 9 episodes and they still have not explored what went wrong. The flashback with the baby sitation not good enough. He went to a therapist in the 1st episode because he could not stand her family. But 9 episodes in that was never addressed. - female lead's illness is yet to be explained well and just showing her having forgetting spells is not good enough. Tumors are complex and i am speaking from experience. also they use it conveniently to have the male lead save her or for evil guy to notice but she seems fine most of the time. how the hell was she shown to be drinking soju at the restaurant? Alcohol is a big NO for a person with cancer or tumor. - the way they got scammed so easily and got kicked out wow the writer did not even bother to make it believable - the evil guy is annoying and has zero boundaries. Also why they are all so quick to let him into their house and reveal their secrets?! like how did this family even become so rich? - why is each episode so damn long - k dramas really need to learn to what concise writing is
Other than all of them looking expensive, and expensive production this one has no substance.
I binged it non stop without sleeping and oh my heart I don't cry easily but this moved me to tears of joy at the end. Miyabi and Sanpei will live in my heart forever as the most gentle and beautiful leads I have seen. They were not acting. They lived their characters. And the writer now that is what you call amazing. She needs to win all the awards for this. The whole cast and crew included. How does this perfect drama have only 1000 watchers while shows from other countries have 10 times the amount I will never understand...
I stay away from heartbreaking dramas but I could not stop watching after the first episode. This has to be the saddest drama I watched. The acting was amazing and the dialogues were beautiful. It is definitely a masterpiece.
Thank you @chillingindoors for the recommendation.
