Yes!!! I personally love a strong male lead but song kang isn't doing it for me this time. Visual-wise I agree they are both good looking and I honestly think this is one of the biggest reasons this drama is so "loved". Also, most acting is clearly exaggerated and heavily cringey - especially Park Bokkyu and that secretary lady - i get second hand embarrassment everytime they pop on the screen.

Haha I completely agree with forcing yourself - I was the same but after some time I got sick enough to drop them. Yes, baby kdrama watchers seem to love these kind of dramas more - my mom is an example, she hasn't watched as many dramas as I did and loved both Destined with You and My Demon. I also feel the need to watch some cliches from time to time - my current rewatch pick is Business Proposal - is only 12 ep which is more than enough for a cliche imo. I watched all episodes so far and it is slow-burn. Personally, I was expecting the same pace as in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, but it is definitely way slower. Tbh it depends on you. i honestly dropped my demon and like this one more - i love the cast and sea-side dramas.
I literally think the same. I was praying for the last member to be Yunah or Jiwoo. But still, the line-up feels a bit like a mess and it's quite unbalanced.

He is mostly getting hate for the way he handled things with his past relationship with SHK and many are still mad over the double standards after their divorce. Her reputation suffered a lot after the divorce in comparison to him. I think that may be the reason most fans are angry.
I think the dumbest thing we can do is compare the two seasons! First of all, we have DIFFERENT WRITERS. It's obvious it's going to be different! Second of all, why is there the NEED to COMPARE? I really don't get it. A second season RARELY meets the expectations of the VIEWERS especially if the first was a GOOD ONE. Why can't you SIMPLY enjoy the fact that we got a SECOND SEASON? This almost never happens for kdramas. We should be GRATEFUL. It is also disrespectful towards the ACTORS and whole crew who have put SO MUCH WORK into the season. DIETS, STUNTS, SCHEDULE and so on! But all we do is being ungrateful!
Honestly it is not perfect! But it is not as BAD AS YOU MAKE IT SEEM! Some things could have been better, but I choose to be HAPPY and GRATEFUL I get to see my beloved COUNTERS after 3 years of waiting! It was really hard for them to make it happen too! Why not spread a little more positivity?
