I’ve just started watching perfect match & I’ve never seen this actor before - I can’t believe we’re the same age??? why does he seem so mature? I thought he’d be born in like 1997 or something
I am enjoying this or I would’ve dropped but some aspects of it are lowkey frustrating.
1) the way the daughter argues w her mum is really rude. we all get angry sometimes but talk things out politely in private. she’s literally shouting at her mum in front of other people, there’s ZERO respect.
2) where’s the love line going w the 2 kids & the 2 parents? if mum & her high school sweetheart get together/marry then the kids will be step-siblings - so it feels a bit odd rn.
3) ending of ep 4 was strange. how tf did the grandma find them in the middle of a random countryside village after over 2 DECADES after abandoning her daughter?
And yeorum too. Imagine being hospitalized by your abusive father then being gaslighted into thinking you're too…
right!!! he literally stabbed her & they all acted like she was being selfish for wanting him to go jail. he commited a crime ☠️ jail’s where he belongs
I got so hooked into this show bc of the healing aspect, I love shows with that vibe.
But ep 10 REALLY pissed me off. Yh Bom’s a grieving teen but how could she not stand up for 1 of the only people that’s been by her side with no judgment? and it’s kinda crazy how no one in the town (including the policemen) said anything about bom’s dad publicly slapping yeoreum? that’s literally assault, it doesn’t matter how he felt at the time - it’s still a crime.
also jaehoon is freaking lovely & so devoted to Bom, the way she treats him is shit. she doesn’t deserve him & the guy should honestly just get on & focus on his own life. stop living for a girl who won’t even prioritise you. His aunt was giving him good advice.
Also Jiyoung is sooooo petty 😭😭 like girl, why you acting like that at your big age? I don’t get why Sungmin’s so into her
now that qingyu knows the reason for beiyu’s death & it’s obvious not much can be done - I want her to move on. It’s tough but when people die, you can’t stay stuck on it. you have to move on & take into account that life is short, make the most of it. Qingyu needs to enjoy her youth, focus on her studies, achieve her dream & live the life she wants rather than be stuck on the past/regrets.
sheng seems to be getting a grip on that reality. he’s moved out & started focussing on french for his future. qingyu needs to do the same. if she’s into dance, she can get the grades for a uni away from her parents & move out there to study dancing
they’re going more into detail w subplots of side characters than I expected.I was thinking this is mainly about the truth of Beiyu’s death but quite a few of the past eps have spent majority of the screentime on Qingyu/Sheng not getting on & Mumu’s family issues
probably the impact of low socioeconomic housing... that kind of environment breeds a cycle of disadvantage which…
fair point. but I’ve also seen/known plenty of people from disadvantaged backgrounds who use it as motivation to get into a better place later in life, it’s sad that there doesn’t seem to be people like that in those apartments?
why are those entire apartment blocks full of toxic people? ☠️ qingyu’s overbearing parents, mumu’s intoxicated violent dad, all the nosy neighbourhood ladies etc etc
Our girl can really endure a lot, she pushes MingSheng away, as she said she doesn’t want to be burdened by…
Honestly, more than “I hate you”, I think the line “you’re a burden to me” might have been worse for Sheng. Being a burden was one of his worst insecurities. He’s always viewed himself as a burden to his parents & there was that past ep when he was messaging Qingyu & wanted reassurance that he isn’t a burden
is she their half-sister?? or is she just some girl that their brother used to like so he drowned when he saved her?
