Overall... Like the magical aspect and obc YSH.... heavy on the romance and a simple story..... but kinda boring at the end of the day (nothing special or unique)
This is too emotional+ stupidly psychological movie.... They tried to package the movie with a good cinematography and a weird imaginative version of the script writer's understanding in regards to the concept of method acting and more importantly being/not being gay !
Furthermore, what was the point of the movie in the end?
1) Is it relating to their relationship and the eventual demise? then this movie sucks and is just like any other horrible BL movie bcs of a sad ending
2) Are the directors trying to convey the idea of method acting? That is not how method acting works! lmao! Which idiot that this was a good portrayal of method acting! and why try including a 'gay' theme into it? (almost as if they thought this play has a horrible ending so why not make both lead characters men/ 'gay'? and make it like all other BL movies where gay characters have a bad ending! and also let us get some monies out of the yaoi + gay fan base - that was a long thought)
Sidenote: the setting is horrible in another manner, Two actors trying to compete in terms of method acting and unsure what is real and what is not! And then finally trying to put in the idea of gay into the mix! That is a very twisted kind of thinking and person needs to get some real help! No actor in their real life would be like that! It is simply impossible!
OR/AND
3) Are they trying to convey any sense of human sexuality? None and if they tried to do so, then this movie was even worse and horrible one! No one in their right mind would think of this kind of plot to involve sexuality lol! Just because the main 'straight' leads are involved in method acting, they change their sexuality too! Which idiot thought this would fly! Too unreal! If they are not straight to begin with, then the movie should have conveyed that early on.
The movie wanted to make itself alluring but failed to do so since there was not enough time (too much stuff happening very fast), not a strong enough plot to take on the subject matter, and the creators tried to add the idea of sexuality in which they failed to do so phenomenally!
The acting was brilliant! and the chemistry too! That was the good part of the movie and perhaps the reason this movie did not get minus 5 stars lol!
MOST IMPORTANT: HOWEVER, if the movie was simply trying a show tumultuous relationship between two gay competitive men (not out) who met at the stage, then i give them some points! I understand how thing snowballed from the beginning to the end! Hence I give this movie a 7/10 under the assumption that this is what they trying to show :) (Optimist in me)
But just like any other gay movie, regardless of its bad/good or happy/sad ending, I always watch one atleast! :P
his acting is good.... i loved him in jealousy incarnate.... but for some reason.... i started disliking his face after i started watching this show.... god knows why!
