Whoever says the ending is bad/ sad .... simply are missing the crux of the show: the show is more about their main leads' love. family, life and the events of the time.
I understand the need for happy ending....believe me... I always wish there is a happy ending for every movie/ show... but i felt different when I watched this;
I hoped they would get together in the end (past timeline) which would have been great, but 'felt' that I could be okay with not a happy ending.

PS it is weird if the main leads got together in the present timeline, since they are two different reincarnations and the FL is happily married and has a son...and no feeling/ concrete memories for the so called reincarnated ML. I like that the writer simply left it to show a tangle piece of fate of the ML and FL always walking parallel together.

Suggestion: They should have developed the present ML leads story... its little too small. If not lover/ husband....atleast a really good friend.

This is such a cool drama! The art history part is great as well!.... i loved how the drama is not too intense in romance and the weaving of the storyline in particular is quite commendable. The cinematography and acting is beyond words! I realize SSH is the only really good actor out compared to the 'flower-boys' in kdrama. He is simply super; wish he gets more roles in the future :)

lol realized he is kinda evil in this show!! haha .... but now i really wish the FL ended up Kang Ha Neul! He smile is so alluring! Hate his sister for doing so many evil things lol... guess second lead syndrome.

Is it weird that I am rooting for the third prince? (Hong Jong Hyun).... just about to commence first episode :)

This is a good show.... but its kind of out there a little bit..... they tried to go for some sort of style with lights, blue and i guess 90ish format but its quite distracting ..... great eye candy though... good plot line as well

Who knows whats true and whats fake lol! Although my knowledge is limited, I thought Kdrama actors tend not get married (at least publicly known) until they are atleast a little "over the hill" due to various career reasons.... its a little perplexing on why they are getting married now :P :) But maybe I am over analyzing or watched too much dramas

If you dont like sad endings, perhaps avoid it..... makes you wanna cry at the end of the movie... i was bawling when i finished it

I am such a big fan of Zhang Vin.... but avoid this drama altogether.... otherwise you will be sitting crying and sad at the end of the show..... Change the title to 'The Tragic King and his Woman" lol. (note: i just watched ep 1 and 48... and read summaries.)

lol the writers are playing with fire and are quite inexperienced.... moral issues in society redressed into a show in the most inept manner and the fact that it was dealt so ambiguously (not PC) through the female lead makes this show cringe-worthy in some ways. Had this been made in the US, it would not last past 4 eps lol

PS if i ignore (which is hard to do) the disproportion/dis-symmetry of his face, then yes he is hot
