Not hate on Victoria here as I think she is one of the more versatile actresses of her generation. I have seen prolly all their BTS for this drama on Weibo and they look quite compatible imo. Her fighting/action scenes also look elegant and natural most likely due to her dancing/ K-pop/idol background.
Unsure who you are calling “blind men lover” here as if you have paid attention to any of DYX’s works you’ll know that people don’t love him for his visuals but the man can actually ACT.
I think what the others are trying to say is that the 29 year old Ding Yuxi looks youthful for his age and can pass for portraying a 14-21 year old Wei Yun (if we go by the novel timeline) whereas compared to the more mature but still beautiful 37 year old Victoria who is portraying the 15 - 22 year old Chu Yu. There is a noticeable difference in age. Perhaps it would have been better if she took on the project 4 years ago.
But yes, I agree the drama is not even out yet and people shouldn’t be so quick to judge. DYX always works his magic and Victoria is a talented actress so I’m not even worried!
What kind of stupid novel is this No one told me that Zhang Haixia would have so few scenes in "Southern Files"?…
He got paralyzed and died way too early on :( so I hope they will make some significant changes to the drama version. I like how smart, calm, collected and loyal Haixia is but I do agree that his character in the novel is a bit underdeveloped. Guess we'll have to wait and see...
