Me at ep 11, reading your comment: *gasp* oh no he didn't! How could he! Me at ep 17: oh.. Truth is revealed.…
Didn't like how it ended (so anti-climatic + what the heck sort of ending was that for the ML & FL???- which I wasn't exactly clear on cuz I also skimmed through that one.. and I'm too lazy to go back to watch that again. Haha) and there are definitely much better dramas out there instead of wasting time on this.. LOL. I really only forced myself to finish it just for completion...

omg yeah!!! FL- "he's (2ML) in my heart" Me- yes! Then they had to break my heart in the same episode... TAT after that I just skimmed through all the romance scenes and just focused on the crime/dead bodies/mysteries parts.. Lol
Skimmed through the last 10 eps and finally made it to the end. Lost so much interest in the characters that only ended up watching for completion. It was cool to find out the overall mastermind (that was an unexpected one) but ending was so anti-climatic. Also, feels like the ML (and 2ML) like/love the FL more than whatever the FL feel for them. Maybe I skipped too much of their scenes. Lol
OMG.. Yeah! The FL is so damn fickle and hurting pretty much both the ML and 2ML... I pretty much skipped through all the relationship scenes and really only watching for the mystery-solving parts.

Ikr. I was rooting for her to end up with ninja guy.. He did so much for her (in secret). Also the ML's behaviour and attitude rubbed me the wrong way... *sigh*
Me at ep 15: He can’t be the male lead! He got her sister pregnant!!!!
Me at ep 11, reading your comment: *gasp* oh no he didn't! How could he! Me at ep 17: oh.. Truth is revealed. It was a plan by the sis and step mom to drug him and make him sleep with the sis but the ML didn't sleep with her. (Still don't like ML with FL tho... Hahaha)
Omg. Finally finished watching this and definitely agree with most of the comments here - the ending was totally WTF??!! Also after a certain point in the last episode, it got super dramatic and I ended up just laughing instead... It was good in the beginning but it got super draggy inbetween and then I think it just gave up in the end. Lol.
I have some gripes about that arrow scene - she had so much time to avoid it or something after pushing Zhong Wu Mei out of the way, but she just stood there and spread out her arms welcoming the arrow......
So if anybody is wondering... This is related to the original A Different Kind of Pretty Man drama. It's set 3…
Spoiler alert: want to know what happened to the characters after the first drama ended? Well, Jiang Fan (refresher: fast healer/man still alive after being left frozen in the morgue for seven days; played by the original actor! *squee*) and Yi Fei (refresher: future dreaming guy; played by a new actor cuz the original actor is playing the main character in this drama. Lol) are talking in front of a grave. Turns out it is *gasp* (hearts, prepare yourselves for this news) Gao Yuan Shu (refresher: electric guy and male lead/love interest of original drama) who apparently died 3 years ago (after the events/ending of the original series). And apparently Tong Yu Chen (refresher: female lead) has gone off with Yan Chao Chen (refresher: mind control guy) to heal from her/their wounds. Xiao Qian (refresher: mind reading guy) and Xiao Qi (refresher: manager/girlfriend) went off overseas and they lost/stopped contact with the remaining two. :( Jiang Fan and Yi Fei are the only ones left in the city and they run a night club.
This story was such a disaster. I continued to watch this hoping that it would get better... It didn't. The earrings…
It wasn't tragic as it was nonsensical. Like I spent all this time watching the drama only to have him suddenly become a police officer with no reason at all... And what about the rest of the characters really. LOL.

The earrings didn't really show up at the beginning of the show. Just randomly once or twice sometimes in the show and then it was like the writer suddenly remembered that the title of the show was "The Girl Wearing Tassel Earrings" and added it in at the end.
For people who want to know about the ending:
After Ren Hao Ming was shot by Lin Feng, he falls unconscious (maybe even dead) into Tian Tian's arms. The voice over says "Karma happened to Lin Feng. In the end, he was punished by the law. While Ren Hao Ming, some people said he died, some people said he went overseas to recover (from his wounds). However, quickly people discovered that there was a police officer in Shanghai who looks exactly like the Ren Hao Ming who had disappeared." In the background video, you see Ren Hao Ming in white officer's (captain? higher level then the regular level type) uniform and Ah Xia (who looks to be wearing a uniform too - in black and maybe not officer level) appearing slightly behind him. Then fades out to white.
WTF was that ending?! Why the heck did he suddenly become a police officer? *sigh*
Personally, I think the show should have ended 48 episodes ago...
Does have lots of steamy kisses though. Xp
