You Raise Me Up (2021) - This drama was not really popular and not mainstreamed and I understand that. The genre being in focus on the mature audiences related to sex, it came off as not watchable to all audiences and also those who are wary with this type of genre in Korean dramas. Still I am happy with how the drama turned out but it's not really something new.

For me, this drama is one of those dramas that I could watch to just have a finished drama and to let the time pass. The actors did well, and the leads are not new in my eyes as I have seen their other works.

Nothing to Lose/ Judge vs Judge (2017) - I like the drama to what it can offer but I think it's not as extravagant as to other legal dramas. This time around the judges stance is what is seen and the main highlight which is new for me as a korean drama watcher since most korean dramas focuses on either lawyers or prosecutors and are usually the main leads. The story is engaging for me, slow pacing with thrill. There is some sort of wanting to see what's gonna happen and what are the revelations. I am quite surprise with the plot twist, it's painful but I can understand. I also didn't feel the second male lead syndrome which is unusual since I always have that when watching korean dramas. I fully support the main leads in this drama. I would recommend this to those who like legal dramas.

Juvenile Justice (2022) - it’s disturbing so it's not for the fainthearted. I think this is really a good drama, it’s been quite a long time since I haven't watched any crime related drama and it did not disappoint. The one thing that I would just say is that I don't look forward to a second season since most of the stories have an ending and the characters are revealed already. Still, I would watch the second season if ever they would release it. A recommended drama for crime, thrill and law lovers.

The Glory Part 1 (2022) - I didn’t expect it to be this good. It was a really disturbing drama for me and heartbreaking as well. I could really feel the pain and the determination of the main lead to have the revenge. It was well thought of and I have some questions left for it to be solved maybe in the next season that is why I want a next season to be done soonest as possible. The pacing and the back and forth of the present and past is well executed throughout the drama. The characters especially the villains are also great in their respective roles, but the younger main lead Moon Dong-Eun is the best among them. A good drama of 2022.

The Glory Part 2 (2023) - I really slept late just for me to finish to drama to not see any spoilers on the internet particulary on social medias. As soon as it came out I watched this one immediately. The thrill definitely lowered down in this drama compared to the first season/part, still I like it. The emotions and the acting skills are superb. Special mention would be Kang Hyeon-Nam ahjumma, the right hand of Dong-Eun, there is a particular scene that I was really in awe of her acting, she was really good. Second character that I really am in awe is Dong-Eun’s mother, I hated her character so much, like a different kind of hatred which means that her acting is really good. All the characters are really great in acting their respective characters. I am satisfied with the ending though I was confused with the part of Yoo Jeong and his revenge to his father. I think it would be nice if there is a seperate drama for that.

Lies Hidden in My Garden (2023) – started really strong, I was really looking forward to the drama, and it has that certain angst and thrill/crime that I like. As it goes on, it felt like it’s fine, downgraded to what the previous episodes has been showing. I wasn’t excited, especially in the last episodes. Still, I’m glad that it’s only 8 episodes so it wasn’t too long. I was not a fan of the ending as well, but I’m glad that they concluded it that way, it makes sense. I think I was just underwhelmed with the overall impact it has given, to think that the actors and actresses are big time stars, I think it is too short. I still recommend this drama.

Age Harrasment (Japan) (2015) - this is my first Japanese drama that the genre is not romance. I did watch Japanese dramas from the influence of reading manga but I didn't know what prompt me to watch this and also I watched this one without stopping or breaks. I like this drama that show the conflicts around the workplace. We can see here some injustices particularly towards gender and age, which I think is a brave move since Japanese are known to be conservative when it comes to portraying topics like this in dramas. I did really enjoy this drama way better than I expected.

Yamada-kun to Nananin no Majo (Japan) (2013) - As other reviewers says about this drama, it’s simple it’s cute and its fun. With over the top acting in between, I guess this drama did just been watched and put on my watched list because I can’t remember this drama anymore. This just entails though it is fun it is one of the dramas that is easily forgotten especially if you are not a fan like me. It would be a kind of drama that can just be passed by. Characters are quirky. I think this drama is for beginners, especially in the Japanese Drama. I am not an avid watcher of Japanese dramas so I can't really tell if they are good in acting or not, so far I can see that they are unto the over the top acting.

One of my favorite Taiwanese drama. Although the story is really sad, I was really into it. I love the characters especially the child. Though the main actress is a bit frustrating but I guess that is just how the story goes to let me into it. I can remember some scenes of it and I seems like I have good memories watching this drama. This drama is memorable since I remember we named our pets from the characters name in the drama. Overall this drama is really sad and frustrating at times but it was a great watch.

Bisaya Review

seeing the full version this year 2020, what I like about this drama is that dili kayo sya restricted. There were scenes that’s applauding especially Jerry Yan acting as Dao Ming Si. I like it also na clear ang reason why Shancai fall out of love for Huaze Lei. The subconscious also sa mga characters kay gina istorya throughout the drama, which is an okay for me kay para masabtan pajud ang drama. The drama itself kay daghan confusing moments and out of place jud pud kau ang storyline pero I find it charming as well. I like that the characters are portrayed as mature people rather than school type na characters, though sa school manjud ang intrada sa drama at first.

Alchemy of Souls 2: Light & Shadow (2022) – I was so behind watching this drama because I was not really attracted to it. After watching the first 2 episodes, I stopped and just pick the remaining episodes if I remember it, usually 1 episode only as much as possible. I can’t seem to continue watching it, I don’t know why, maybe because season 1 is so good. I believe the season 2 is necessary for the questions to be answered but that I was hoping that they should have added the episodes in the first season. I think I just finish this one to have a completed drama and to settle some remaining questions to be answered.

A slice of life drama amidst fantasy, crime and historical dramaland nowadays. I like that they release it in one day, all 12 episodes. I was a 2 days late watching from the release date but it's fine. It's a good drama, especially dealing with mental health. I really like the realization of the female lead. The doctors in the drama, which are also humans is portrayed in a humane way, which I like. The nurses are also given exposure and also the caregivers. Good representation of the medical field is portrayed so I like it. The cases portrayed is also simple that someone who is not in the medical expertise could understand. A good watch.

The Chaser (2012) – I just watched this drama by 2016 and I think it’s good. Not totally impressing at first but all the actors in the drama did great. This drama seems unrealistic to a person like me (who is not a lawyer and neither a politician). This drama portrayed a different angle of the society for me, and I find it scary. I liked it that I watch this by 2016 so the drama is already completed, I watched it for 2-3 days and didn’t watch any other dramas in between which I usually do with other dramas, I watched it continuously because I am afraid that I will forget the names of the people in the drama. This drama, I cried alongside Baek Hongseok but I also cried with Kang Dongyoon. One thing I learned from this drama is that greed is scary and gets you lonely.

Blade Man/Iron Man (2014) - I would have this drama good if it was nicely written, I guess? I don't know the main reason but I think there is something wrong with this drama that I was not really engaged into it as much. Lee Dong Wook is perfect for the male lead. He delivers his role perfectly, and acting wise his really great. The female lead on the other hand, I was not really her fan in this drama but she is good, especially with crying scenes. The story between the male lead and his father is heartbreaking for me as watcher, and that what captured me best in this drama. Other than that, it was a drop. So I would not recommend this drama.

Another Miss Oh (2016) - Eric really do choose good dramas. This drama is just have "everything" that I could ask for in terms of the emotions that I could feel in a drama. While the main lead is crying, I would cry a lot as well, maybe much more than the characters because I could really feel the heartache. I really like the plot and story and how it came to life. I applaud the writer and has so much respect for everyone, writers, directors and actors in this drama. I felt frustrated but also in love with the drama. All of the characters in the drama are necessary for the drama to unfold. What I've learned in this drama is that every person has a different perspective in a situation. Even if good intention if there is no honesty, the good intention will not come across.
