Pete makes Vegas reconsider everything what he was taught his whole life by that onion head aka his father. He is feeding him the affection he is longing for, I feel like Pete is pulling him to the lighter side of their story with each little conversation they have, with each eye contact they hold and with each moment they spend together. Pete, who is such an incredible ray of sunshine sees Vegas for what he is and accepts him.

From my perspective I don't think anyone disobeyed Vegas nor challenged him like Pete did so that's what I meant when I said its the first time but there are many layers to this sex scene

I know that's why I said " its not driven lust sex but nor is it love " Its in between and I think that's perfect considering the pace they chose

At the moment, their dynamic is bringing the angst this series needs, every couple is balancing this show so well with their different traits, as for chay, my baby has been through alot and although its infuriating to see his studies go down the hill because of kim, its understandable giving his age and everything that happened

Of course baby, it's a matter of perspective but I think we are on the same note here, I definitely think feelings were involved I just wouldn't call it " love " yet but seeing how Vegas worshipped his body was definitely the start of something beautiful, it's obvious he treats Pete like a treasure in bed. Have you noticed he kept his weight off Pete because of his wounds, he refused to harm him any longer 🥺

Vegaspete analysis

SEX SCENE :

Pete was so responsive to every single bit of vegas's need to touch him by arching into every lingering moment, moving along so willingly, his eyes closed for most of the scene, his senses focused on the man above him. Pete and Vegas are both people who protect their hearts, they have chains locked around their emotions so it's hard for them to define any of this. They are closed off to the world and maybe they will be each other's freedom. Vegas is currently seeking validation so he doesn't want to hurt Pete because he is the only one who can provide it and Pete gives in to all of it, the grab on the throat alone is showing the want to control. This was what I call " grief sex and Vegas's mission of numbing the pain is successful. He unlocks something new and exciting far from reality and beyond heaven. It's again something right but at the same time wrong. Their relationship simply can't be described in black and white. The mixed colors shows this exact grey area. The last close-up is very important with Pete smiling like he feels fulfilled about unlocking this side of him, he finally allowed his dark side to come to the surface and it's clear he feels liberated. Vegas on the other hand is completely perplexed because Pete wasn't a passive partner and that must be a first for him as well. But this scene wasn't romantic -- This sex scene seemed more like a rush of emotions culminating into grief. It's a rollercoaster but its not love yet. It's something that has the potential of turning into love.

DYNAMIC:

The dynamic between these two characters is too complex to decipher. Both of them wear professional crafted masks. Vegas is a psycho seemingly without empathy. Pete, on the other hand, is a ray of sunshine with a layer of darkness underneath. Pete's desires are covered and Vegas is bringing them to the surface, we can already see that in episode 11-- he physically reacts when Vegas licks his face, his eyes close, he is shivering under vegas's tongue. Pete feels connected to Vegas because of his own childhood, they are bonding over their trauma and Vegas is reticent to connect with Pete but the chains are already tied between them both and there is no escape any more. Both Vegas and Pete will cave in irrevocably. And we can see the last drop of their self control when the hedgehog dies. Pete chooses to console him and Vegas willingly let's him. When Vegas hurts himself, Pete is finally discovering the unseen hatred he has towards himself and he tries to reason with him without success until Vegas brings his layered, cold behavior out again. He tries to lure Pete in a new game thinking he won't play along but Pete surprises him and takes the lead, easily winning. Vegas uses his body as a catalyst and it's electrifying Their body language lays everything they feel bare for the audience to see. They step not fucking, they are tiying the chains around them tighter, they strengthen their connection through physical attachment. This is not some lust driven sex but it's not love either, it's somewhere in between. An other thing I want to point out is Vegas's blood type. AB means universal receiver, he will take any love he can get because he's that starved for it and Pete's blood type is O which means universal donarx he has the capacity of loving anyone and this is a clear metaphor for the receiving dynamics and I admire the details in the show.

HEDGEHOG :

Kan is truly malicious, he knows hedgehogs have an incredibly short lifespan yet he chooses to give Vegas something to bind himself to, only to have it snatched from him again and again. Vegas is starved for affection and his father can easily see that, he knows Vegas will hang by anything that is willing to give him a drop of love and kan continues to gift him these pets in order to have him roll in the same path of grief over and over again.

RANDOM THOUGHTS :

We all know that Pete is the captured one but Vegas is the one who is trapped. The same man who likes to be ahead of everyone, who is calculated enough to over do everyone, simply doesn't know what to do anymore. He is scared. He is actually afraid of the consequences because it'll all be like a chain reaction. He is the vulnerable one despite being free, he may not have physical restraints but I assure you his head is in a cage.

ACTING :

I understand why Build said he was having trouble setting his character apart from reality, Bible sells it at every moment, he is magnificent in his role. For every one of Pete’s panicked, despaired looks, Vegas returns an equally unsettling one, their dynamic on set is actually mindblowing. Vegas is such a convincing manipulator, he is a master minded psychopath and it’s hard to distinguish him. We see Vegas's eyes seizing Pete, analyzing him with each stare and there’s a degree of arrogance there as if he's trying to be superior when in reality he's inferior. The way they both observe with the details of their eyes is immaculate. They are delivering in every way possible.

I just saw a post saying they are glad barcode isn't an adult because otherwise a kiss would be scripted in their scene from ep 12 and it wouldn't have been consensual because chay was mad and it's making me laugh 💀💀💀 sis 80% of the BL actors were casted as minors and had sex scenes with adults.
