I'm assuming kinn was young and in love. And so maybe Tawan sold some information oriented around the family. And all betrayers must die so kinn's lied and he gave Tawan an out.

I think we should all come to the acceptance that both Porsche and Kinn had a right to be angry. It makes sense for Porsche to retaliate against Kinn since he initiated the fight by misstrusting him but his words cut as deeply as Kinn’s did about him, they can both be in the wrong.
