I know we are tired of the comparisons, but in Love Scenary for example (a drama thats directed for younger audiences than YAMG) we got some pretty steamy scenes,

The novel is actually really short. in total it has like 30 something episodes of main story and 16 epilogues. The epilogues are basically QJJ and YT life together, And yes, there is a wedding!
Ok, I read the novel. And I discovered the novel covers the competition + Chinese New Year, and it was as boring…
If you watch the trailers for the upcoming episodes, the competition is over by episode 15. So you have more than half of the drama to go from there. And going from the trailers also, the epilogues are included in the drama. It`s truly up to you, if you want to drop it, do it. But if you are bothered by the gaming, its going to be over in like 3 more episodes.
you can also find many coments that explain how LS and YAMG are not the same or a mash up. My english is not very good so I`m not even going to try 😂 Yes they are elements in common, like the gaming stuff and that the FL is famous, but each series has its charm. I watched LS and I loved it. its a fluff fest. Im also watching YAMG and I`ve read the novel, and i truly feel that they are diferent shows. It`s much more "serious" and it deals with deeper subjects. I ALSO watched FIYS and also loved it, and again, the 3 dramas are diferent.
These last few episodes were to make us realize the delicate emotional state of Yu Tu in this time of his life. He`s having a life crisis motivated by his work. He feels like a failure. His good friend is ill, and he can see in Guan Zai`s marriage the dificulties of being with someone like him. We can see that he has feelings for QJJ, he relaxes with her and she make him laugh. But he`s having a crisis okay? let`s remember all of this for the next weeks episodes. Like, probably till episode 20.
and episode 15 is going to SUCK!i can feel the tears coming
If they follow the book (which they are so far) Guan Zai is sick. I dont remember if they tell specifically whats wrong with him, but im pretty sure its a cancer of some sorts. I truly dont remember, but its serious enough to be in treatment and not be able to work for at least two years.
I love the CGI for the games. Its cool, cause I am totally new to gaming dramas. Even for that, one or two scenes…
Watching in a faster speed it's also a great alternative. Reading some of your coments I can see that you like DD, if so you are REALLY going to love this drama. I'ts a "simple" story in all but its not the typical idol drama. JJ has DEPT okay? She's not just a silly, pretty star. And from the firsts 8 episodes we can totally see the internal conflict of YT.
I love the gaming parts. It's so cool to add that in instead of having the actors act as part of the game.
Honestly I can appreciate the CGI and graphics that go into the gaming parts. Really top tier, but I can`t undestand the game to save my life 😂 But I`m seeing so many people complaining about the gaming, and like, really? What were they expecting? Yes, i`ts not a game driven drama like FIYS, but we all knew from the summary that King of Glory played a role in the story! People who stop watching just for the gaming parts are going to miss a WONDERFULL story. (english is not my first language, so I hope something makes sense)
