The company that is broadcasting it is called WOWOW. They upload the episodes on their website but I don't think it's possible for international fans to watch it there even when using a VPN. You could still try though. I'm personally waiting for the raws and subs to be available somewhere else.
why is this in top airing shows when it is released in 2023?
originally came out in 2023 but was cancelled after episode 8 aired for "unknown" reasons. now after 2 years, a Japanese company bought it and started re-releasing it. so now we are finally going to see all 30 episodes.
Where to watch this? I can't find this version anywhere
i remember having to watch it on viu using a vpn because it wasn't available anywhere else. you could try doing that. but if you really can't find a way/place to watch it, DM me
And it's finally over. Ngl, I didn't like this adaptation, but if you have read any of my comments, you'd already know that.
My biggest concern before the show aired was the comedy because very rarely do I enjoy how Thai shows use and incorporate comedy. And this show was no exception. Besides the occasional smile while watching certain scenes (like the engagement ceremony in the last episode), I never laughed. Almost everything felt so forced and unnatural, which is ironic because this type of comedy is supposed to be so over-the-top that it feels unrealistic. But that's just how Thai comedy is, so what can I do.
I still commend the actors, especially Earth, for taking on such a difficult role. Not everyone is cut out for playing a character like Haruta/Heng and I gotta admit Earth really tried his best even if I wasn't 100% satisfied with his performance. I also want to say that imo, Krit was definitely the one who stole the show. I don't have complaints about his interpretation of the boss. In this adaptation, his character was my favorite one. On the other hand Mo... didn't stand out and for some reason they made the character unlikeable. But I don't blame Mix for this because the script really didn't give him much to work with. I understand they didn't want this adaptation to be an exact copy of the original, but still, I feel a lot of the changes made to the story were unnecessary and didn't improve the show significantly. The one thing I do appreciate is that at least in this adaptation you can definitely feel that Heng loves Mo because in the original, Haruta's feelings for Maki feel way more ambiguous.
On a final note, I want to say that even if you have no desire to watch the Japanese version or have seen it and didn't like it, I still insist that everyone watches the second season (Ossan's Love Returns). Everything about it is 10 times better than the first season. The comedy is just excellent; there's more chaos but also many more heartwarming moments; there's character growth; and the new characters are an amazing addition to the story.
I loved it. Now I'm off to watch the other versions. If the comments are any indication, I'll start with Japan…
Don't forget the second season of the Japanese version. Even if you don't enjoy the first season, I definitely still recommend season 2 (Ossan's Love Returns). It is soooo much better!
Other than the Amnesia plot, I genuinely liked the ending. Honestly this adaptation managed to make Boss a lot…
Ossan's Love Returns is definitely superior... and because of than (and all the changes made to the story in this version), I don't think adaptating that season would be a good idea.
I don't believe it was Japan that censored the show; they literally have no reason to do that. The "original"…
This is why I said at the beginning "I believe". I too don't know what happened and why they decided to edit / censor the show even more. I was just sharing my point of view so calm down. Like you said, there's "no proof" that what I said is right, and there's also "no proof" that what you are saying is right either.
