I’m on my first rewatch of the show and I’m finding myself able to empathize with Type more. On my first watch, although I knew why he was homophobic, it completely turned me off to him and I couldn’t his attitude. But now rewatching it I see more that it really is a defense mechanism for him, and not actually something he truly believes. You could tell that he actually felt guilty for insulting his seniors in episode 3, and in the following episode he commented how people are using him as an excuse to be homophobic. I think both of those moments really made me realize that what he is saying is coming from hurt not hate. I do wish the show addressed this issue of his more though, and I hope by the end of things he becomes a more accepting person.

we pick up on episode 18. XG goes out to buy their ingredients. He comes back and we see a montage of XG and HT playfully cooking together and being happy. They share a sweet kiss and the screen fades to black. A title card pops up on the screen. 5 years later. XG and HT have both finished their respective degrees. HT has been offered an amazing internship at a large company and XG is considering continuing his education even further. HT’s father is nothing less of ecstatic and proud of his son. There’s a scene where XG and HT go to HT’s parents home for dinner. HT gets up to clear the plates and while they are alone, and HT’s mother tells XG that she is happy for the both of them and hopes that he can always be like her second son. HT’s father doesn’t say anything, but smiles in approval. The two boys later leave and head back to their apartment. They head to the balcony and HT holds XG as they look at the stars. HT says he has something important to tell him. He tells him that his internship offer is not for the branch of the company located in Taiwan. It’s overseas. HT says “come with me”. XG smiles and kisses him. The camera pans up to the sky, showing two stars in particular shining brighter than any of the others. The end.
Deciding to give this drama a second shot and rewatch all the eps ive already watched to try and understand things better..maybe I’ll enjoy it more because i really do love the actors and think they give an amazing performance

I agree the acting is great, the chemistry between the two leads is also great and i have enjoyed some moments, but i can’t get past Type constantly being so homophobic while he is in a relationship with a man. like it’s just so off putting to me. I understand why he is homophobic but I feel like the show has taken more than enough time where Type could’ve tried to deal with his trauma and at least stop yelling at people and calling them f*ggots :/ maybe the show will revisit those issues he has by the end (im only on ep 9 currently) but it just rubs me the wrong way. I’m not dropping the show tho and I will finish it, I’m trying to give it a chance
gonna make a full review for this show after ive seen the last ep, but i just wanted to say despite the flaws people have with this show, the main one being how fast HT fell in love with XG, i love this drama so much. the love between HT and XG is so sweet and tender, they have this overwhelming warmth and innocence for each other and it’s sweet to see. the chemistry between the actors is amazing, i love the soundtrack and i think it was shot pretty well also. something that i really appreciate is that HT never did that thing you commonly see in BLs where one person forces themself on the other (e.g. forcing a kiss, non-consensual touching, etc.) the only scene that got (kinda) close to that was the..ehem..fever scene..which HT even apologized for after. there is even a scene where HT tells XG he wants to kiss him before doing so and it’s just really very..sweet to me. makes me warm inside u know. however this drama ends i am happy i got to see this sweet, coming of age, innocent and tender portrayal of love.
read the plot to this ... thought to myself “oh no this sounds like a bad plot line” ... watched it anyways ... and wow! it really is as bad if not worse than i imagined it would be ? gonna get a 1.5 star by the end if it’s lucky hhhhhh
deep sigh... okay i guess it’s time I’ll talk about this show as it’s nearing its end. before really getting into this, i wanna say that i watch these dramas just to enjoy cute relatable gay content, which i can rarely get elsewhere because most lgbt content from other sources is incredibly dramatic and sad. i just want lighthearted gays being happy!!!!! so I know when I go into the BL genre there are flaws that i always have with certain things and I tend to put up with it. but im SO TIRED of the “one is out to their parent(s) one is not out to their parent(s)” cause for drama. and im really over the extreme jealousy. like if they took both of those things down a notch it would be so much better and and more realistic. we could’ve had a nice supportive thing where kao is being encouraged to come out to his mom, or pete and kao being able to communicate on the most basic level but nooooooo we had to have all this mess happen. overall im not upset with the show because the cute and sweet moments are what keep me going but GOD, this attempt to create drama is so ridiculous. i got so mad last episode when kao had a perfect moment with his mom but he STILL couldn’t talk to her like come on now.. i think it’s too much to ask of the BL genre to give me an ending where it’s at last mentioned about their problems communicating and petes insecurity and jealousy but i digress. there are things that i love and hate about this series and that’s okay. as if i haven’t rambled enough now, ill talk a bit about each significant(ish) person on the show (minus sun/mork, that’ll have to be a different comment)
Pete: GET YOUR JEALOUSY IN CHECK!!!’ people just.. do not act like that. and if they did, id dump them in a millisecond. You can see that he obviously loves and cares for kao, but he is so filled with selfishness and jealousy. i just wish we could see more communication from petekao. on one hand i understand him being mad that kao lied, but kao didn’t really have a choice in tutoring non, it was extra NEEDED money and his moms job could’ve been on the line. pete please work through your insecurities.
Kao: GET A SPINE!! he should’ve communicated with pete better instead of lying to him. and please can he just talk to his mom already, she clearly loves him and i think she would at least try to be accepting of him. just communicate!!
Non: kinda feel bad for this kid. his dad is clearly very controlling and homophobic, there’s probably all kinds of stuff going on in his head because of that. but kao has already told him no, he should get the hint.
Sandee, Tada, June: love this trio as always tbh..they add some good humor to the show AND i absolutely love sandee, sometimes she seems like the only sane one on this show.
Oof. Where do I start. So, I don’t think this is the worst show I’ve ever seen but it’s far from the best. The writers had so many opportunities with this season to talk about some heavy subjects but they completely dropped the ball every time. Also, I would say for me ep 13 was the most boring. Mainly because we all knew where it was heading, and I was just tired of watching this dumpster fire of a story go on any longer.
-Korn and Knock I just can’t see anyone in their right mind going back with their partner after getting cheated on, without having any kind of conversation about the relationship, why the cheating happened, etc. I was really disappointed to see that the writers did not address the whole cheating thing for them in an effective way.
-Bright and Farm They kinda just pissed me off. And I was more mad at Bright than Farm, the whole reason Farm was the way he is in this season was because of Bright and how he treated him previously. Their relationship was toxic from the start and I couldn’t bring myself to have any good feelings towards them ending up together.
-Yihwa and Cho I still don’t understand why everyone wanted to vilify Yihwa but no one seemed to say much about Art? I mean, at least Yihwa was honest with Cho and upfront. I don’t have much else to say about them, but it seems like time apart as a couple would have done them good (which, it seems like that’s what they did)
Happiest moments from the last ep for me was when Rit told Farm he didn’t want to be friends and when Fai finally got a job. All in all, I’m pretty happy to see this end.
Seeing everyone say how much they enjoyed TeeMork’s episode makes me feel even more that if their show had better writing and directing it really would’ve been a lot more popular. The actors have great chemistry and I never got the feeling that they were awkward about anything while filming, it all felt really natural. This episode is all I ever wanted for TeeMork and I’m so so so so happy we got it!!

I think it’s because of the cheating storylines, people got really mad over that. I agree it was a bit much and if they wanted to tackle that subject, it could’ve been done in better ways but I still don’t think this is a bad series overall. Ive seen much, much worse than this lol.
