I am the WORST when it comes to this. I have two tubes of YSL #52. I have multiple two tone lip bars by laneige.…
ME. TOO. I am such a sucker for Korean drama PPL! I am a Mamonde devotee because Park Shin Hye is my style icon + we share the same birthday and Maxim is my morning ritual these days!
I agree that the last half of the drama was sloppy and rushed. Also some of the "coincidences" and "tragedies" between the characters' pasts were just unnecessary.
The two leads didn't have to meet when they were children to have cemented their "meant for each other," and the dead brother thing came literally out of no where. They should've focused more on establishing their actual feelings for each other than all that nonsense.
It was still fun, but I wish the second half held up as well as the first half. I would've done things quite differently.
Also, the Secretary was the most compelling and layered character IMO. I am also glad the Madame was redeemed at the end, as I think her poor decisions towards the end were not really in-character for her.
If you guys like Korean dramas and otome games, be sure to check out Cheritz! They're a Korean otome game company--it's actually because of their games that I got into Korean dramas!
I'm a bit underwhelmed by this article. K-dramas are of course re-made all the time, but this article is lacking *why* and *how* they should be re-made. For example, maybe Healer should be re-made as a Japanese drama...I think it would do exceptionally well there.
Page Turner could be, as many others have said, made from a mini-series to a full-blown drama. Why can't we take this kind of article a little further and talk about what things could be done differently to give it a breath of fresh air? Don't be shy!
I cried so much during the last half of the episodes...! But the drama was really engrossing! The only reason I didn't rate it a perfect 10 was due to the deus ex machina resolution to the ending.
In my case, it's a matter of being able to attain Japanese dramas legally without the producers losing money. I don't like pirating intellectual properties if I can help it.
Korean entertainment is far more available to mainstream audiences via legal means. I wish the Japanese entertainment industry would be more generous with their International audiences.
I speak Japanese so I don't require subtitles, but I realize I am in the minority. I love Jdramas and Kdramas both...though at the same time, a lot of Japanese dramas focus on high school life and I want stories that involve characters closer to my age.
And Kim Seul Gi 's pairing in Surplus Princess/Idle Mermaid.
I haven't watched Goblin yet (I know, shame on me!!) but I'll definitely keep an eye out!
