dont think she dated him. i think he bothered her on his own as it showed him blowing up her phone in the flashback of ep 2, and the wife couldve read messages and thought that it was an affair when it wasnt. probably just a case of her trying to be nice to the parent and him getting the wrong idea and acting on it.
