Yes please take a closer look :D to me the bleach job symbolises his attempt at living a life on his own terms (hairstyle - learning to paint - being economically independent) etc and then all these behaviours changed as he grew older and gradually started to please his father in all matters (hair back to black - enters society as a common salary man - raises a child with a woman etc).

i suppose thats because its only when something becomes popular that the government officials hear of it. also, if something they deem "immoral" wasnt popular, they wouldnt worry, but if it is they need to nip it quickly in the bud before it becomes a real problem.

I wish Mieko saw more worth in herself. I didn’t like episode 6. It was chilling to the core. A seemingly lifeless body to be used by two men, no hopes for herself, just a womb to make others happy. No beauty, no romance, etc etc. Mieko shouldn’t have felt the need to sacrifice herself like this. I wished the whole time that one of the guys would put a stop to it. Ps: homophobic parents won’t accept you even if you use a surrogate. Duh.
