I'm so happy I stumbled upon this drama while waiting for subs of Put Your Head on My Shoulder. This drama is so nice. I love the storytelling, the plot, the pacing, the characters' personalities, and the development between each. I love the OST too!
It gives a When We Were Young vibes to me with all the school-related chops, but it's also very different... in a good way! I love the dynamics between characters that I can't help but root for them all. I especially favor the role of Zhao Guan Chao. I wonder what made him mature that early? I am half wishing I have a brother like him. LOL.
Edit to add:
I just don't get the melancholic tone of the story? I mean, it's not that sad but why does the editing and BGM makes it melancholy?? Hahahaha. Still a very good drama though. Will read the book while waiting for the subbed episodes!
I feel betrayed. Huhu. I realized I had given Seung Mo a lot of faith and was totally heartbroken when An's readings came together. I still can't totally hate him though. He had his reasons, and no I'm not romanticizing his character it's just that given everything that had happened to him, what would you expect??
I'm sad for our characters but I still can't help but be amazed at the writer's plot and the actual storytelling of the events. TVN never disappoint (let's all just pretend that Bride of Habaek was a big joke on their end lol).
Took the dive into this drama. Ep 9 already and I think it's worth the try. However, reading the reviews and comments makes me want to enjoy every single bit of fluffy cuteness before it all goes downhill. Help!!! I'm scared of "have fun while it lasted" writing/plots!!!
This drama tops the first half of 2019 for me. No annoying/dumb/idiot/stupid/cold/arrogant leads and shipping them already with less than 10 episodes. Such a feel good drama!!!
I love that this drama put emphasis on each character's development and story. The plot twists are amazing. They're not confusing or tiring, just the right angst to keep the drama on its track. There's no scene added or written as a filler to lengthen the drama, everything and everyone makes sense.
I'm not sure why others leave negative comments though? Maybe they enjoyed it for the fun ride in the earlier episodes (comedy and romance) but wasn't ready when it finally tackled the real plot?
