I know this is an old post but I only just saw it hence the very late reply, lol.
As a J-pop/rock fan myself, I agree that it sucks that the Japanese music industry doesn't care about international fans, but I do understand it. They don't need us. Straight up, they just don't need us. They make enough money and get enough attention in Japan that the work they'd have to put into making themselves accessible overseas just isn't worth it. They do concert tours, they do TV shows, and that is enough for them. It absolutely sucks for us, lol, but I basically just had to accept it otherwise I would always be angry and frustrated.
Legit no idea what happened with this show but I dropped it at episode 16. Did the editor have a breakdown halfway through the series or something? I like the characters but I can't keep watching this nonsensical show anymore.
Just adding a comment here so it's at the top for new watchers. This is a lakorn, not a BL, so the main focus is the family and the parents, NOT the younger characters. So don't go in expecting this to be a romance only, because you will be disappointed. Just leaving this here for people as a warning, as I've seen some comments online from people thinking it was a BL and then being surprised with what they actually got, lol
The Count was a jerk until episode 15, when he does a 180 and is suddenly all nice, and Pudsorn, after being abused by him for 15 episodes, just goes "Well, men will be men, I suppose". Legit made no sense.
And at the end of each episode, his Make-Up tutorial is called Gus Jung, so i feel like his name is probably meant…
Right, but why is his show called Gus Jung if his name is Gut? Wouldn't it make more sense to spell it Gut Jang? Like, his name is pronounced the same regardless of how it's romanised, but clearly the show thinks his name is romanised as Gus.
Why in the series Gulfs name is Gut, but in the cast of this series it says his name is Kat?
And at the end of each episode, his Make-Up tutorial is called Gus Jung, so i feel like his name is probably meant to be romanised as Gus, right? Otherwise why would his show be called that.
Me scrolling down and reading about a dog dying in episode 5 is making me rethink watching the show at all, lol! Does the dog belong to one of the main characters? Do we get to know and love the dog before it does? I don't want to watch that if so.
What was with the heavy handed anti-smoking message they randomly shoved into the show in the last two episodes? It was so weird. Like, the message is correct and people shouldn't smoke, but we'd had no mention of it at all until the Mum got sick and suddenly the show is anti-smoking propaganda. It felt very shoehorned in and out of place.
